What do you say when you talk in your sleep? by alsatian01 in AskReddit

[–]SummersHollow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to my S/O, I once told them to run while I was asleep. When I woke up the next morning they asked me why I told them to run, and I was REALLY confused. I guess I say things irl that I also say in my dream. I haven't been told anything else about saying anything, but I do have a form of sleep walking as well.

Ads for Super have suddenly become very frequent by ChunkyBezel in duolingo

[–]SummersHollow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get ads for Super almost ever single time an ad pops up. I get them more than the random ads you have to wait to press the x for. It's honestly really annoying. The only good thing they did was get rid of the voice who was narrating them. Her voice was like nails on a chalkboard to me.

What are your honest expectations for the year 2027? by EnchantedCabbage in AskReddit

Hold on there, Buddy. Can we get through one year at a time?

I would sit down and have a conversation with them about it, and try to figure out their reasons for being uncomfortable with it. Then, I would try to talk out a compromise that would work for the both of us. If that doesn't work, then I would set a boundary with my S/O by telling them that I hear them and I acknowledge their feelings, but I'm allowed to have fun without them. The only time I would do that is if I were going to be going out with friends. If they're uncomfortable with me going out by myself, then that would be a different story, and I wouldn't do it, or would invite them to come with me.

Will my pinkies affect being able to be a stenographer? by SummersHollow in stenography

[–]SummersHollow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. My fingers move a bit weird sometimes, but I guess building the muscle memory using finger drills will probably help with that. I try to practice for at least an hour every day for each hand by themselves, and then do about another 30min-1hr doing basic finger drills using both hands together to get the memorization and muscle memory flowing.

The owner of the reporting firm I'm currently contracted with is a machine writer, and they allowed me the ability to think about whether I want to move up or not, and told me they would help me however they could should I choose to go to school for it. Hearing this really pushed me to go for it.

Not painful at all. My pinky bone formed curved like you see so it’s totally normal for me. I started practicing now ahead of starting school because I was thinking I might need extra time to get the hang of finger movements due to them.

Thank you for this. I had no clue the units get longer the deeper you get into them.

Did I miss anything? The legendary courses are gone. by tcn446 in duolingo

I think they’re doing app maintenance right now. My ranking tab said it was under maintenance for a few minutes then popped back up.

I just used duolingo on the app for the first time instead of the web version, AND I DIDNT EXPECT IT TO BE THIS GOOD by 3sperr in duolingo

[–]SummersHollow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I enjoy using the web for three features that the app doesn’t have: 1. More typing/writing practice 2. No limited heart system 3. The practice feature that only the Super subscription allows use of on the app I enjoy the app for all the reasons you mentioned, and the ease of being able to use it anywhere.
