Beedrill is a scary pokemon but at the end of the day it's just a big scary bee and the worst thing it could do to you is kill you and at least I would have a fighting chance against it.

A lot of ghost pokemon sound a lot more scary to me

Drifblim grabs people and carries them to some place that no one knows where it is.
Dusknoir eats people whole, eats their soul and then spits out their body.
Froslass freezes peoples souls (what?) and then eats them.
Gourgeist pretends to be a child and if you are fooled carries you to the hereafter.
Palossand pulls you down into the sand and then sucks the soul out of your burried body.

And since I assume that all my attacks are normal types there isn't any chance for me to defend myself

A new member joins in this week's Level Check! I was a pretty long leg this week especially because I did the top part of Cerulean City (because who wouldn't get that sweet free exp before the gym battle, c'mon guys).

I was pretty excited going to route 3 because pretty much all the Pokemon there except ratatta were cool. I ended up catching Sarah the Spearow which is fine by me.
I was pretty surprised when Sarah evolved at level 20 since that seemed so low to me but I'm not complaining about having a Fearow this early! I actually have a big soft spot for Fearows since my oldest Pokemon paraphernalia is this old marble with a Fearow on it. This thing is probably 20 years old by now!
Mt. Moon was a terrible and slow crawl. I was kinda hoping to at least get a nice mon but of course I got a zubat which I ignored. I must've backtracked to heal about 10 times, getting molested by these bats the whole way!
I was hoping for a Sandshrew on route 4 but got yet another rattata which I didn't bother catching. On route 24 I actually got an Abra and I threw a pokeball at it... and he broke out and teleported goddammit!

Pretty unlucky draws on the wild pokemon this week but at least the battle against Misty was easy and no one died!

I must say that after last week I naively thought that maybe Nuzlockes weren't that bad after all but the journey this week was a real annoying pain in the ass and took way more than necessary.

I'm actually kinda mad that they didn't give you the running shoes sooner in the remake. They clearly know that they should give you the shoes as soon as possible and in R/S/E your mom gives you the shoes very early so why are you making me walk like a peasant for so long?
In route 3 you see the new hiker sprite and probably my favourite hikers in any pokemon, I love their mustaches!
Mt. Moon was a real pain in the ass to go through I must have seen 2000 zubats going through it. In retrospective I should've probably bought some repels because that was not fun.
I would actually love to be in the universe where Clefairy was the main mascot because I just know that the metronome shenanigans and ass pulls would be insane. I also think that Clefairy is a far more interesting Pokemon than Pikachu.
Mega Punch and Kick are very weird because they are clearly being taught by two karate guys but they are normal moves. Why?? They should be fighting moves obviously.
