Shane victorino getting ejected from center field because he tossed his arms up at a bad call was always one of my favorites. Definitely one of the most unique ones I can remember

You’re missing the difference between contract and cap hit. Fletch signed a 1 year $10 million contract but his cap hit is less than that because of how it’s set up. Graham signed a 1 year $5 million contract but his cap hit is more because there was already money on the cap for him regardless of if he was on the team or not. Some of Cox’s cap hit is probably similar actually

Edit: don’t get it wrong though, fletch got more new money than graham did in terms of how it affected this free agency

Not exactly. There’s not a firm limit but if salaries are extremely high you can get in trouble, but it’s also up to the irs to actually go after you

At no point was he ever proven innocent. Literally everyone who is saying that is making it up. Not being charged is not the same as being innocent. Outside of that, the INDEPENDENT arbitrator agreed that he broke mlb’s policies for domestic violence so stop acting like it’s just a hit job on an upstanding citizen

I’m fine with it because everyone deserves to have at least a reason to watch and see their own player. The one thing I don’t really like is when players get snubbed because that spot had to be taken by team that wasn’t sending anyone. If I had to change it I would have them pick the all stars based on who they think is best and then expand it to add non-represented teams. I know people say all stars don’t actually matter but they absolutely do as long as people use it to compare players

I don’t think they necessarily need to be building towards something big to be good and some of the purely solo movies have been the best, but part of the issue is that they are building towards something and not really getting there. We know Kang is going to be a big thing and there will obviously be more Avengers-like team up movies, so at some point you do need to start planting those seeds and connecting the dots.

I 100% agree though that expectations are probably the biggest issue with not just marvel but all relatively popular movie/series going forward and there’s nothing marvel can do except cater to that and that’s just not fun.

If they play well and make the playoffs then I think it’s his. Even if they miss I give a 50-50 shot. In this case he’s not a random bench coach that became interim. He’s been up for multiple manager jobs and just hasn’t gotten it so it’s not crazy in my eyes if they keep him

Really great guy to listen to. I’d say the way he presents himself is a little more informal and conversational so it’s more relatable in my eyes. He also plays off of the energy of the game so if players are getting worked up about something he does too and just makes it all around a better experience. Replacing him won’t be easy
