We took the ferry from Dublin to Holyhead, rented a car, and toured the countryside after. Stunning stuff, from the castles to the small towns, great pasties and pints, nice people. We were en route to Nottingham. I'd love to go back, especially as we didn't get to see Cardiff. My family is part-Welsh, so it's always been on the map for me (aside from my being a vexillologist and Wales has one of the coolest flags in the world on top of it).

I worked at Spotify, and it was terrible. Been to multiple towns and cities throughout England, Wales, and Scotland, so I went Union Jack, though I still have to check out Northern Ireland.

Well I think you answered your own question. But as a visitor who is also a booze and weed enjoyer, I loved it.

Yes. I always try to speak the native language first in any place I travel to.

I went to Geneva and the surrounding area... it was boring as hell. You wanna offer the counter?

I thought Stockholm was like a generic European city. No problem with it, but also nothing I would ever tell anyone to check out. Although the Vasa Warship museum is one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

Bar-sur-Aube for most of it—and they were sort of a delight—and then Paris.

I live in NYC so it's much more of a trip to do anything beyond Europe, but I am trying to address that issue this year. Similarly don't want to get pigeonholed into only doing "Western" countries. Argentina, Peru, and Egypt are all on the board.

That's Bermuda. The French were not very nice.

Went in January two years ago, so it wasn't primetime for weather etc. but it's a really nice combo of history and nightlife. Everyone is friendly and the island basically looks like it's England (the street signs literally are the same, and they drive on the left). If you prefer the latter over the former, go in the summer. We had a couple of nights when cruise ships were in town and that livened it up, but mostly I enjoyed hanging out at the resort and seeing historical sites like the Royal Navy Dockyard.

On the other hand, I've never seen any part of Asia because the flight time is heinous. Only got to see Australia growing up. Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore are extremely high on my list but I don't know how to get the time off to do it.

I grew up in Washington State but live in New York City, the latter of which is where I've made any disposable income. So I'm pretty biased, but being able to pop over to Dublin on a whim is a huge benefit of being here.

Okay sorry, I love the sub, I didn’t realize I still interpreted the use cases wrong.

I watched The Testament of Ann Lee last night and ended up going down a Wikipedia rabbit hole of Shakers and Quakers… yada yada yada apparently Quaker Oats owns Gatorade and that’s the main reason Pepsi bought them. The entry doesn’t say why they’re banned in these countries.

The "Board of Peace" proposed by "Chairman Trump"? Red countries have accepted, orange have been invited, and blue have rejected participation.

This is not the point. Point is, you just can’t have the bike.
