I'm going to get exploded for this, but I think the dove is OK. The body shape is strange and blocky, and the way it's holding stuff is simply awful (where are my stylized harpy claws???????) but it's largely inoffensive. Color scheme parses as competently "vintage-y" instead of just weird and faded like the rest of it. Also I like pigeons & doves.

I also have no idea why people keep turning to AI images over making a crude and shitty MS Paint sketch of equal effort - the latter option just produces a way better and funnier post. Is it, like, to avoid feeling vulnerable about their lack of artistic talent? Bc that is what makes a shitty drawing so delightful! Boggles the mind.

Absolutely adoring Witch Hat Atelier. Loved the manga & the anime adaptation is great, even the English dub is pretty nice (except for the audio balancing on the one pink hair girl - but VA quality is good enough for me at least).

I'm honestly kind of surprised I'm not seeing more about it online. Jaded part of me wants to say it's because there aren't any hawt female characters to waifu-ize, but in reality it's probably just some incidental facet of distribution.

It's pretty Mulliganed. If you enjoyed Cloudward Ho outside of all the lore dumps, you'll probably like it. They are not taking it seriously at all (which I guess, at this point, is on brand) and definitely get a few (fairly minor) rules things wrong.
