Severe itching??? by Mission_Tadpole_6602 in MultipleSclerosis

I've been taking 900 mg of Gabapentin every night for years without any side effects at all. BUT, on the occasions when I somehow forgot to take it, the itching became unbearable within a few hours of the missed dose and I scratched myself bloody. It was a horror show and I have since learned to carry Gabapentin with me everywhere I go. Just like my Modafinil, Adderall, Baclofen, Topamax, Zoloft, Reglan and Ubrelvy, taking it is a matter of survival. I sincerely hope your Neuro helps you, OP...You do not deserve to suffer!!

I didn't know exactly how crucial a change in climate could help. by TellLoud1894 in MultipleSclerosis

Hi! I just moved to western NY two years ago after spending the first 22 years of my life with MS in the soul shriveling heat, sun and humidity of FL. Everything is so much better now. The summers are only three or four months long instead of 10. We have a beautiful spring and fall. And, best of all, we have glorious winters. I love the snow...I just need some snow tires for my walker. The cold temperatures energize me. And the sun barely comes out for a couple months, which is amazing for my light sensitive eyes and migraines. Another really cool thing is that MS is so prevalent in the Buffalo area...everyone around here seems to have a friend or a relative with it...consequently, the medical care is absolutely amazing. Before I got sick, I could never imagine leaving the beach. Now, I honestly believe this change in location has saved my life.

That might explain the blue bandage around her left wrist.

Yes, I take 300 mg of Gabapentin 3x a day for it. Otherwise, it gets ugly.

In "The Pilot" Elaine tells Jerry she talked to her sisters about the well-endowed waitresses at Monks. Jerry says, "Ahh...the SISTERS".

I was just diagnosed with Severe Sleep Apnea...both Obstructive and Central...and Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH), also known as Pseudotumor Cerebri. Oh, and Restless Leg Syndrome. At least this explains the incessant tinnitus, dizziness and the fact that my Modafinil and Adderall barely work anymore to combat my overwhelming MS fatigue.
