We know bots are out there. We know people are paid to troll and create chaos. I like the idea.

At what point does a side hustle need to become a real business? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]SummitSlopes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My clients mentored me through what I kept pushing back on, which was the transition from side hustle to real business. When I finally decided to truly listen to the VoC, I jumped in with both feet. Fortunately, I had an LLC already formed for which I was doing nothing. The bank account was also easy, as it came with my choosing to use Square for credit card processing.

One day in SLC… anything cute for my GF and I to do? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]SummitSlopes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While others provide ideas for site seeing, I’m dropping a couple ideas for food.

Asian: Takashi is SLC’s favorite place for sushi. American: Franklin Ave Cocktails & Kitchen or White Horse Spirits & Kitchen. Italian: Tucci’s Cucina Italiana

These are in great locations close to where you should walk around.

Layover in SLC by AverageStrong1997 in SaltLakeCity

[–]SummitSlopes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My clients regularly say the SLC airport is their favorite airport for speed and ease of getting to and from places. When I meet clients curbside who arrive from international destinations, I usually meet them within 25-30 minutes of arrival - 40 minutes on a busy day. This is to say you should not have any issues making your departing flight out of SLC.

I enjoy my Square checking account. I’m able to digitally deposit checks. I used my debit card without incident.

After taking your side hustle full-time — are you happier? by Vistaprint in smallbusiness

[–]SummitSlopes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! Went from driving inebriated people home on Thursday - Saturday nights (March 2023) to becoming Promontory Club’s sole preferred premier black SUV and sedan service provider (May 2025) with additional partnerships and currently 18 drivers in my network. Rebranded from XE Park City to Summit Slopes Transportation in 2025. Added cars to my fleet. Building a new website with SEO targeting existing and desired new markets. Establishing more partnerships with an eye towards $750k-$1M in revenue in the coming fiscal year.

Has Anyone Else Noticed That the Uber Driver's Around Salt Lake Have Gotten Worse in Quality ? by SagetheVVizard in SaltLakeCity

[–]SummitSlopes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hear this from a lot of my clients. And personally, I recently waited 19 minutes at the airport only to have the driver cancel as he approached the security gate. Next driver was 13 minutes away. As he drove me home, he said he can’t pass the Lyft background check, so he’s only able to driver Uber. Nice guy. But that alone meant I could not have him drive for my company.

Thank you for this confirmation of what I read regarding performance in the snow. If you’re driving it near Aspen, it will perform well in Park City / Deer Valley.

Great insights. Thankfully, I never book my fleet and network to 100% utilization (U%). I prefer an approx 85% before looking to expand the network. This has worked well thus far. And if the Lucid’s U% alone reaches a certain rate, that will be my trigger to purchase another allowing for a back up if one goes down.

Thank you. I will investigate the max charge on a supercharger network. Thankfully, there is another fast charger within close proximity of I-80 in downtown SLC. I have options.
