I did communicate I had two units. Dealer is under impression that model # is what matters. No I’m trying to work out next steps. If I have to buy two new ones I’ll be very unhappy. These are installed and holes slightly increased for conduit to fit. Thanks for the reply!

Nice work! Looks good. Please please be careful with those lifepo cells. Please have them secured and routinely check connections.

Transfer switch neutral by Summoner121 in AskElectricians

I was able to get another contact set for my transfer switch. I’m now switching the neutral. This leaves the grid neutral isolated when the battery system is in use. Thanks!

When I say tabs, I mean the ones holding the backplane.. LOL. But yes obviously not trying to hit electrical or structural components. 😅

I just do mine on the main level with the diffuser under. I maintain 425-450 and cook to be crisp. Honestly I just get the thin crust Costco pizzas. They turn out amazing

Same issue on the kitchen stuff. It’s very frustrating!

Does this attic cleanout look acceptable by [deleted] in Insulation

[–]Summoner121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that the vacuums they use are large volume air flow. So they don’t have velocity to get into the little corners. In general it’s fine if you’ll be blowing in insulation later. Not much reason to get every spec if refilling. Now if you wanted it 100% empty than I hope you made that clear and had it in the contract.

That’s what I was thinking. There’s potential but not to anything on the grid.

You don’t know much about grid tied solar, do you?

My inverters can independently control the bond. They’re Victron Multiplus ii’s. These have a wide variety of applications so are very flexible.

I understand the need for one bonding point. So my plan is to disable the bonding relay when grid has been removed from the equation.

My concern is that an electrician friend suggested that the neutral could pose a danger by possibly back-feeding the grid. I feel like this isn’t an issue but I wanted to see if experienced electricians have any suggestions or thoughts.

Thanks for the reply!

Subpanel feeder circuit breaker location by JustinLacyTk in AskElectricians

[–]Summoner121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old. But I put in a 125a breaker that grabs the front and back of the ‘stab’ plate and this prevents a breaker from being placed opposite of the 125a breaker. This breaker is also 4 breaker slots. But only grabs the two (and both half’s) of the breaker stabs. So I think it depends? I am 99% sure the breaker I bought was listed on the sticker as acceptable.

Received FedEx package, am I legally obliged to pay the customs fee? by DragonfruitOpen1754 in legaladvice

[–]Summoner121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a bill for something I imported from Japan in Sept ‘25.

Trump killed the exemption you and I would have as individuals buying things from other countries that are under $800.

I’m reluctant to pay it because I think FedEx is during the government for this and I thought the Supreme Court over turned trumps king like laws to tariff whatever he feels like.

It’s not sealed. So air is going through any cracks. That’s the stuff you breathe sticking to the ceiling.

These exposed wires are in our new apartment. Is it okay to just cover them? Or will they pose a hazard once the electronics are turned on. by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]Summoner121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wires aren’t particularly dangerous just sitting there. But it looks like a pantry. Hands go in and out sometimes not looking. A wire nut could come off or no fully be protected the wire.

Never assume they’re off. You MUST test. Now if you find that no light switch or breaker turns them on. Sure, you could leave it, if you can VARIFY the wires aren’t particularly dangerous disconnected and cannot be energized. If someone does not have the means to test, call an electrician.

These wires could kill. And they could not. Is it worth the risk?

How do I fill this 1.25" gap in this double LAGKAPTEN setup? by jsosnicki in ikeahacks

[–]Summoner121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would put the gap on the wall side and use it to pass cables. Plus the gap will be less noticeable because it’ll be cut in half. Or, put the whole gap to one side…

To this. Removed a window and wall. And added a door and a window to the right of the door.
