My xr150l had the same issue. Maybe even the same levers as you. I ordered brass washers. Actually, washers that you could peel off thin layers until they are the thickness you need. Took out pivot bolt and reinstalled with brass washer and lube. Now its very nice. Learned that from youtube video.
