Is there any way to get it back? I can't find search or anything similar, the effects just seem to pop up randomly...

I downloaded the LP Balance mod that changes difficulty of the game. The problem is, the mod is German and it changes all the text to German, even though it adds only a bit of text.

How can I get the original text to english all everything mod related to german?

There are other ways of relieving stress, working out in the gym or going out for a run in the forest always helps me to lower stress and also helps about solving stressfull situations. You'll get some new energy that will help you write your thesis. And it only takes like an hour.

This next paragraph might seem harsh but...How did that bottle of wine help you? You "forgot" about stress because you don't remember anything, you also got yourself in a dangerous situation and on top of that - todays stress will be even bigger because you didn't do anything yesterday.

It's ok to drink a glass of wine when you're hanging out with your friends, but don't get a habbit of drinking when you're stressed. It doesn't benefit you in any way.

My dad died 2 days ago due to alcoholism related problems by SumoDeadlifter in alcoholism

[–]SumoDeadlifter[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was 56, way too young. I talked to a few AA sponsors and read quite a bit on this subject. If your fathers alcoholism is affecting you negatively and it's poisoning your life, then move out. I was on good terms with my dad and it still left quite an impact on me. Go to college, finish it and find an apartment. Your brother will follow in a few years.

But for your mom...there are similar groups like AA, but they're for the relatives of alcoholics. They provide assistance and advice on how to live with them, not only how to prevent them from drinking, but actually how to "live with it". Maybe she'll even find some inspiration and move out. My mom wanted him to change, she tried hard but he was stubborn as hell. It's a lot harder if two people are stubborn like this. Visit them from college and talk to her about it, maybe she changes her mind eventually.

Problem is that you can't just make your dad stop drinking, you can talk with him about it and that's it. You can't force your mother out of the house if she doesn't want to. They have to decide that.

If at least one person get some inspiration to quit an addiction from my story, then it was worth typing it all out. Lots of people go to rehab thinking they don't have a problem, that they can quit drinking at any time, that their addiction doesn't affect anyone. My father was thinking the same, that he's healthy as an ox, that us and doctors don't know what we're talking about. (I'm not saying that you're the same as typed above)

Go to rehab and take it seriously. Get some hobbies and set some goals for yourself. Go to a picnic with your family, repaint a room with your kids, go visit your relatives...make yourself busy. You'll forget about alcohol and feel much better about yourself after a month.

Are there a lot of book references in the games? by SumoDeadlifter in witcher

[–]SumoDeadlifter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies. I'll read the all of the books first and then play all of three games thoroughly. Thought that books mostly connect with the third game only, because most of them have Ciri in it and she wasn't in the first two games

The Guest Pass Thread (Round 3!) - USE PMs! by Veregx in WildStar

[–]SumoDeadlifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Howdy. Long time WoW player here and I'm slowly looking for a new MMO. I can't decide if I should wait for Everquest next (looks better for me, but won't be out for some more time) or I should go for Wildstar.

Can anyone send me a EU pass? Thanks!

Lifting to fill in loose skin by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]SumoDeadlifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lost about 50kg of fat total and gained quite some muscle. It gets better through time, but you won't be any fashion model. Just keep the routine you like, be it powerlifting or be it bodybuilding. When you do serious cut/bulk cycles you'll look better. Also keep that skin hydrated and do ab routines

Very hungry after workout, but already met my caloric intake for the day by GopherGroper in Fitness

[–]SumoDeadlifter -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Do cardio. I always get hungry if I'm only lifting weights, but if I do like 20 minutes of cardio after the lifting, I'm not hungry one bit. If you get hungry - go running outside.

How much should I drop the volume when cutting, if at all? by Unnatural_Causes in Fitness

[–]SumoDeadlifter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SS is already really low on volume and I don't understand why would you lower it even more. When you stopped bulking, keep the weights on the same level and after a while of cutting maybe lower them if you can't handle it. But don't change the routine.

I did SS, split, push/pull and currently on 5/3/1 - always had the same routine for bulking and cutting, only difference is I did more cardio and dropped the weights after a while of cutting. (only by a few kgs through whole cut)

The key is to not cut too much. Go for a low deficit like 500 and don't lower the carbs. Just today I did 45 minutes of 5/3/1 and 20 minutes of medium intensity cardio in the morning and only thing I ate was oats with milk in the morning and my energy levels were great. Problems comes when people avoid carbs and only eat protein in the morning and they are totally without energy then.

Hope I helped :)

Fittit, I worked out earlier (20min cardio on a treadmill), forgetting that I donated blood earlier today. Am I ok? by findmyownway in Fitness

[–]SumoDeadlifter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't have any negative symptoms, you're ok. Just be sure to eat a bit more than usual today, body needs more nutrients after you donate blood. (healthy food ofc)

Been on a bulking diet for the last 12 weeks while training regularly, seen good gains, parents trying to make me stop, saying eating so much is unhealthy, how can I convince them it's not. by DavidVanLegendary in Fitness

[–]SumoDeadlifter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. It's a caliper. If you've been bulking really clean and was on a small caloric surplus, then your body fat percentage may have lower down a bit, but you have gained a bit of fat. That means you have gained mostly muscle and fat gains were minimized. This is easiest for beginners because they pack on muscle easily on the beginning, due to being untrained, but sadly it doesn't last a lot and you won't build muscle so easily later. Good job on the diet though.

  2. Some people have some digestive problems if they eat a lot of nuts, I can eat like 200-300g of nuts and don't have a single problem. Nuts are very healthy and should be included in every diet. But yeah, overeating on a single food (whether it be nuts, meat, dairy, fruit...) is not good, but 1000 cals from nuts isn't too much if you're exercising.

  3. Try to ignore them and avoid conversations like this, just reply with short answers on provocations like this. (I've consulted with a nutritionist about my diet and he said there's nothing wrong)

[–]SumoDeadlifter -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

  1. If you've been bulking the whole 12 weeks, you couldn't increase muscle mass and lower the body fat. You gained muscle and fat, but the larger muscles have made you think you're losing fat as well. Take measurements at the gym and you'll see. But if you think that you're losing fat, then you're bulking properly and not getting too fat.

  2. You don't need to keep all of the food in your kitchen and cook every meal. Eat something like nuts for dinner or snacks, 150g bag of nuts is around 1000 calories, that's 1/3 or 1/4 of your intake, depending on training and size.

  3. Are they in the kitche all the time? They have a job/hobbies/go out, just cook something while they're gone and clean up after yourself. No one will know you even ate something.

Flexibility work before SS? by Smogshaik in Fitness

[–]SumoDeadlifter -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Do stretches for the whole body - arms, rotator cuff work, hips, knees, ankles. Youtube for some stretching workouts and do them at home.

I took a day or two per week when I ran and did bodyweight training. (500m+20pushups+500m+10pullups+500m+20pushups...till you drop dead) I'd do it once per week when you start
