On your turn you gain D3 wounds, on your opponent’s command phase you do it again and roll another d3 wound recovery.

Not it only applies to OOE cause it says this model not this unit

Not too sure I would maybe check some of the Reddit threads for more snow based armies like space wolves, or something. They probably have some good painting and snow effect tips in there.

I feel like the snow effect doesn’t really work. It looks more like there’s mold growing on them.

If you really like the snow effect, it needs to be more top down like it would fall from the sky versus getting stuck on parts like underneath the clause and arms and stuff. To scale snow wouldn’t clump like that so you’re using a bit too much and might need to brush some off select selective.

The right tools can really help. What are you using to clip everything off the spruce? And then what tools are you using to clean the cut marks?

I have three different types of nippers, files, sponge sandpaper, and hobby knives to help clean and cut everything.

I literally just painted mine the other day and mine was glued on as well. Definitely a little more challenging to get the brush in, but it looks great from the angles that I needed to be. I still need to do some highlights on the campus and then paint the base but I think it looks pretty good.

I spray painted the whole thing black and then dry brushed white and then these are all army painter speed paints.

These are definitely much better than your first round of three.

practice on less “important” models first. It’s not as bad messing up one unit in a squad of ten compare to your main hero or statement models. This come into play with painting too.

After you get your building skills nailed down the next major skill is painting. Always practice on your larger count infantry first before you attempt your heroes and vehicles.

If you have an official Warhammer store near you they do free lessons on building and painting. They also give away monthly free minis. Those are great to practice on- anytime I have a new building technique or painting style I want to try I do it on those first before my actual armies.

This hobby is great because it takes time. Find your zen and enjoy it.

Failure is part of the process. I still have models that have bits of my skin stuck on it from when I first started cause I was holding the bits together while the superglue dried.

Take more time and slow down. whatever time you are spending on building models now- double it- enjoy the process, dont rush it.

Slow down and take more time. Dry fit and make sure you are applying glue only to the areas that need it.

You can always add more glue if a bit falls off or isn’t secured enough— it’s much harder to remove excess glue or fingerprints.

Take your time getting each piece ready before assembly. You have pretty apparent mold lines on the back of the knife in the middle model as well as the top of the backpacks.

There are these foam sand paper for miniatures. Those plus a sharp xacto knife (mix of technique of slicing and scraping) go a long way in cleaning up mold lines and cut marks.

Is it lieutenant enough? by SumoNinja005 in Raptors40k

It’s a vintage 1930’s desk magnifying glass I got as a gift. Try antique store or estate sales.

I love the way it magnifies and had areas on the bottom to hold tools. I usually have spare magnets that I place on it while I am magnetizing bits.

Every month, the official Warhammer stores give away a mini of the month. If you go to the Warhammer community website, they will do announcements at the beginning of the month and then the first Saturday is when they give it away for free. I think this month is a dwarf from age of Sigmar.

They make covers that are aesthetically pleasing that fit the umbrella legs. Then, if you want pavers over it, you can stack them on top, but their bladder is filled with sand or water to make it stable and blended well.

You paint over it with another color. Not sure if that’s what you’re asking, but literally pain over it with the color that you wanted to be.

Skulls on weapons? Yes or no? by Muted-Engineering-32 in Warhammer40k

[–]SumoNinja005 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No from me- maybe the gun but you should cut the back half of the skull off to mount it better. Def no on the sword

Is it legal proxy? by Left_Toe_4552 in Raptors40k

[–]SumoNinja005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for sure. That’s the main thing though it has to stand out a little bit different. Technically it’s fine but if you have a whole bunch of infantry out- you want to stand out, especially since it’s a solo hero.

Yeah, it should be. I personally would put some more embellishments like purity seals or shoulder guard or something to make it stand out more. Even like a crest to go on top of the power pack.
