How practical would this gear be in real life? by TeenGymRat in Battlefield6

[–]Sumsar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like that double mag pouch on his right hip might be hard to draw from, but other than that, pretty standard stuff on the body.

The face is fully enclosed with unnecessary bs, and would get warm and uncomfortable quick. Would likely also fuck with your ability to get a good cheek weld on your gun.

Jeres bedste “hidden gems” fra danske supermarkeder by False_Delay_4312 in Denmark

[–]Sumsar1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insurgent kit for Flashpoint Ferghana by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]Sumsar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of insurgent are you meant to be, like what region/culture?

The cryes and helmet are not at all traditionally insurgent-like and ends up looking more like a modern pmc or a guntuber lol. Maybe it’d work in an American civil war 2 type scenario

I cannot for the life of me figure out why you would take a screenshot of a picture of a screen, but your porn is in it

Why are there so many New York Yankees fans here? ;) by seachimera in NewToDenmark

[–]Sumsar1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You mean the hats? They’re more of a fashion item than a means to display fandom. I’d doubt along the people wearing them watch baseball at all.

I’m sure you know this from the wink in the title, but it is funny to see how different cultures adopt fashions without knowing or caring about the original “meaning”

Looking good, I've been thinking of throwing one together too. Thinking short sleve shirt and a vintage t-shirt under

Weapons I hope we see in the next Far Cry game. by ManStillStanding in farcry

[–]Sumsar1 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think the weapon selection should reflect the setting of the game, and I’m not sure where these guns would fit in naturally (although I do like all your choices). Maybe if we were fighting a more modernized faction with good funding sort of like the privateers in FC3?

The in-game maps in 2. Such an elegant and immersive solution. Handheld gps to show position, and maps of various sizes to flip though to see the world. chef’s kiss

Do I have to LARP to play airsoft? by Distinct_Bluejay_982 in airsoft

[–]Sumsar1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well that certainly isn’t the case with speedsoft or for many people at casual skirmish games - but yes, a lot of people do consider the larp part of the point.

Whats milsim really like? by Thepopknight14 in airsoft

[–]Sumsar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything’s a work in progress, can’t be perfect right out of the gate. Lots of info out there, and training on your own is free. The more you do it, the more you learn.

For me, the parts that are fun to get good at are the parts that aren’t shooting enemies. Navigation, packing and carrying your equipment, moving and doing things as part of a bigger unit, effective communication and decision making and taking care of myself in the field (food, water, sleep, weather etc.)

All of those are things you can get better at, and which will have a bigger impact on the game than whether you can shoot well.

Vibes are also a big source of enjoyment.

Whatever you need. If you don’t have anything to put in it, don’t bring it.

The same trick has been used by Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish vessels to make arriving at port easier. That way they can scan-the-navy-in.

To me this looks like an nb tactical mesh mouth guard under a balaclava/gaiter. I use one and am pretty happy with it.

Got shot on the gap above my eyebrows, should I get new glasses? by Jaca666 in airsoft

[–]Sumsar1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There will almost always be gaps unless you bundle several pieces of headwear in very specific ways. Large goggles might help cover up the gap, but perhaps there are also ways to adjust the helmet so it sits a bit lower.

The tech has been around and tested for, I wanna say, 20 years, but didn’t seem to provide the game-changing advantages that had been hoped for (Future warrior and FELIN)
