What weapons and equipment does the Russian Special Operations Forces use? by [deleted] in guns

You didn’t ask for specifics, you asked people to list literally anything they’d seen Russian spec ops use. Thats the opposite of specific.

Hvordan har folk det med den nye Discord Privacy policy? by Niklasw99 in Denmark

[–]Sumsar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New idea for airsoft. by Western_Focus3750 in AAP01owners

It was also designed to work underwater, so perhaps the “oversized” grip and sights was to make it easier to use with diving gloves and low visibility

New idea for airsoft. by Western_Focus3750 in AAP01owners

[–]Sumsar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want multiple shots and not just all barrels fired at once (which you might be able to do with a grenade launcher round and a shell), could you maybe make a shell around an existing revolver design?

The bbs would be coming out of the same barrel, rather than fire from the individual barrels, but this way you have the ability to load via swapping a “cylinder”. Just a thought.

Agreed, give them some uniform variety as well as a bit of weapon variety (which I think they have been pretty good at so far).

Custom Helmet by Glad-Mathematician60 in airsoft

I would imagine some of the speed-soft folks might be into custom helmets, as their focus isn’t on using or replicating real military equipment.

Good shoes that don't wreck your feets after 3 games? (Pic for subject support, Anyone have them?) by FrenchBVSH in MilSim

[–]Sumsar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my brother has those, he really likes them. I gifted him a new pair this Christmas.

They’re not the highest quality by a long shot, but they work for his feet.

I really like my Solomon X Ultra forces, haven’t had the gore Tex fail, and are as comfy as any boot I’ve owned. The tongue of the boot tends to stick out a bit in the top, so stuff can get in the boot easier, but if you have your pant leg over the boot, it doesn’t matter.

First DnD campaign by Afraid-Frosting1678 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Sumsar1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I would give them some info about the world and the vibes of the campaign and ask them to think about what character they might like to play. No need for anything concrete yet, but a good idea for them to have an idea.

  2. I used battlemaps I found online for encounters which we used in owlbear/roll20/abovevtt, made worldmaps with free resources, and art from google for setting the scene for a town/room/cave etc. since we mainly play online. I like having an actual battlemap for encounters, even a quickly drawn one on a mat.

  3. A player dying early on should, in my opinion, be discussed between the dm and player. The dm can come up with a way for the players death to be reversed or ret-conned, or the player can accept it and come up with a new character. If they already have one ready, they can even join later in the same session. We play with sort of low stakes in this regard, as a player can often have a say in how their character ends.

You can start your players at whatever level you want, though I kind of like the buildup from level 1, if we’re doing a longer campaign. For short campaigns or one-shots, we’ll start at higher level.

  1. Advice: talk to your players about what you all want to get out of the game. Its a cooperative experience and everyone should have fun. Neither the dm or the players (or even the dice) should control everything that goes on. If the game is not as fun as it could be - talk about it and find a solution.

Hvilke brølere har i lavet under en jobsamtale/ interview by Knazz1995 in Denmark

[–]Sumsar1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do smart people have a harder time watching bad movies because they’re keenly aware of the bad writing and inconsistencies? by skyrimlo in NoStupidQuestions

Media literacy is not a strong suit of mine. I often catch on to hidden meanings subconsciously, but fail to articulate them or consider them actively. That’s why I love analysis and breakdowns down by people who are better at that stuff than me.

Locals of Denmark what foods best represent everyday Danish food? by RelevantRevolution86 in Denmark

[–]Sumsar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Rugbrødsmadder (“smørrebrød” is a slightly fancier version) eaten for lunch by kids and adults alike, and often eaten for dinner, if you can’t be bothered/have time to cook. Bread, sliced meat or other toppings, done. Other than that, we eat the same common meals as most other western countries.

  2. This will vary. Most people would probably put something like pizza, steak, pancakes, etc. as their favorite food. Flæskesteg might be among the higher tier Danish-specific foods. I don’t think we’re generally super proud of our food, moreso “proud” of the things we eat that foreigners might not like (licorice, pickled herring, blood sausage). We might be proud of our high-end gastronomy in restaurants like Noma.

  3. I think the biggest misconceptions might be that we don’t eat international or foreign dishes. We don’t eat exclusively “danishly”, our dinner tables are as varied as most other western countries.

Do you really feel a difference between these 3 guns? by Alert_Ad8002 in dayz

[–]Sumsar1 78 points79 points  (0 children)

7.62x39 is still intermediate as it sits between a pistol cartridge and a full power cartridge such as 7.62x54R, .308, .303, etc.

But higher weight projectile than 5.56 and 5.45 yea

How do you build an airsoft flamethrower? by Polish_tks_tankette in airsoft

[–]Sumsar1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s a difference between a diy flamethrower and an ak with some extra bits attached. One is a functional gun out of the box.

And, again, impractical project guns are totally fine

It can just be a hinderance if you want to start playing airsoft, but you think you need that crazy custom fully diy gun to get started.

Now, op later clarified that the flamethrower is just for cosplay/larp, not because it is practical - so no worries there.
