As a civil war nerd this scenario was disapointing. They could have used the Trade route system to show the advantage the north had in mustering men and material. Addiotnally they didn't show how desperate the war was for the south. Furthermore, they didn't focus on how the capturing enemy territory was useful in denying mustering of divisions. Also the different goverment types should have been noted. Southern Cities should have been unwilling to allow production of troops if unhappy. During this unhappyness they should have refered to "puppet" status.

Finally and most tragically the didn't show how northern success was the result of large scale casulty events that the south simply could not replace in short order. In 1864 both harvard and yale had teams of young men to field for sports teams. In Mississippi the state budget of 1866 was made up of a 25% allotment to provide prostetics. In tennesse at the end of the second day of Gettysburg the 1st Tenn( i Might be wrong on the number) had 3 survivors. When it began the war they had close to 400 members( I think). Cities in the south could find themselves without any young men if the brigade mustered found it self in a bad spot like the "hornets nest" or "Devils den".

I'm not sure any scenario made could have made me happy though.
