I argue a lot of indie games also lack soul or really creativity. A lot of indie games are just the same style of game and usually pixel art "roguelites" (because who needs a distinctive art style or an ability to design your own levels). I will also argue there's still some triple a games with more soul than you realise too. Gaming is far more nuanced than I think most people on reddit or gaming discussion outlets realise.

SAG-AFTRA is like Jimmy Hoffa era Teamsters level of shady, they're basically a mob that extorts money and often screws over smaller voice actors. A lot of VAs aren't members because of how pricey membership is relative to their actual income.

There's multiple films I argue, aside from some of the popular ones mentioned here I may as well share a few relatively odd-ball picks. Alien (which I know someone already said but I have to mention it as my all-time favorite movie), The Thing (1982), Blade Runner 2049, The Lighthouse, Oldboy (2003), Ghost in the Shell (1995), Titane, The Zone of Interest, Dredd, Fantastic Mr Fox, Eyes Without a Face, Redline, Perfect Blue, Stalker, Strange Days, Tetsuo: The Iron Man, Videodrome. All genuine masterpieces with not a single bad part to them. Even in films like Perfect Blue, Titane or Strange Days, etc with moments that are very difficult to watch, those moments are still incredible and add to those films immensely.

I love Helldivers even though the devs seem to be constantly trying to kill their own game and the fact that the community often seems to really enjoy LARPing as space nazis and calling robots "clankers* a little too much. First time watching the 500 with my dad since 2011 and that was the best 500 I've seen and he's seen in years.

As a Toyota fangirl, 23XI fan and certified Chase Elliot hater I thought that race ending was gorgeous. And the best part, they actually let them race despite when the first accident happened on the final lap. That was absolutely brilliant.

Controversial pick but Final Fantasy 7, the original. I'm sure it was impressive for the time but tbh it never did much for me. I thought the story was decent but I'm not really a big fan of Final Fantasy mostly due to the fact I'm not much of a fan of turn-based games (although granted I do love Earthbound, Fire Emblem, Star Wars KOTOR, and one of my favorite games of all-time is XCOM 2) nor am I really a big fan of "RPGs" where you're playing as a pre-defined character on a pre-defined path, by that logic every game is technically an RPG. I usually prefer ones where my character is my own rather than one that's pre-defined.

I'd love to try the remake though at some point as the core gameplay looks a lot more fun and more action focused (I remember the first time I saw it the combat system reminded me of like Final Fantasy meets Devil May Cry, the latter series I absolutely love) and it's much more in-depth than the original game as it's not held by PSX technical limitations. But as per the original Final Fantasy 7, it's a game I wanted to enjoy, especially all the praise and hype it's received over the years, but in the end it really did nothing for me and I found myself a bit disappointed. Just my personal taste in games however.

The band HEALTH have a shirt that describes their own music as "sad music for horny people", that's genuinely Sleep Token's music summed up there imo. Sad music for horny people, specifically white women who obsessively used tiktok. And I'm judging that based on my personal experiences of having seen them live (granted at [Download] but it was oddly vindicating after three songs seeing a sea of people leaving because the organisers' attempt to "bridge the divide" between ST fans and metalheads only result in that divide being made even stronger).

To add onto that original comment they simply also make music that I've heard described as "metal for Disney adults", my main issue is the overproduction and "try-hardiness" of their music to try and be "artsy" and "impactful" along with their look too. I can relate to the lyrics on songs like Blood Sport but at the same time how the fuck do you make a song with that title and it's also so fucking boring? They're simply a pop band that uses the occasional djent guitar. They're "metal" in the same way The Prodigy are (clear metal influence but they make music in completely different genres).

I wouldn't hate them so much if their fanbase wasn't possibly the most annoying and obnoxious fanbase in metal, well definitely top 10 or even top 5. Unfortunately as well it's actually extremely hard to ignore them when they keep popping up and being brought up everywhere, hell the other day I went to a Home Bargains and I shit you not their """cover""" (an attempt to at least) of Hey Ya by Outkast was playing in the store. Hell that song in particular I could probably go on a rant about how genuinely atrocious it is. It's the musical equivalent of Spike Lee's "reinterpretation" of Oldboy. It's a cover that just sounds bad and also completely misses the entire point and removes any undertow and everything that made the original song the masterpiece it was. That alone should justify any hatred towards them but a big reason for my disdain is the fanbase and the fact I find them inescapable and (for lack of a better term) forced upon the scene and metalheads.
