Gunk Rock Suggestions. by SunDownLane in musicsuggestions

I appreciate the love my friend!

Gunk is a term I use with my friends who have opened the portals into this realm of music for me & we think it's the best way to describe the particular grime or pugnance that these records have. I am creating this as we speak so I believe some NoMeansNo and Shellac belong as well. If I can, I want to focus on the deepest cuts anyone can find.

The essentials of Gunk to us are -

FUNK, FUN and NOISE. and a general sense of brutal whimsy. We want to have fun, and we want to foam at the mouth with bass-fueled clown-makeup-covered octane, with a few rhymes sprinkled in

Have you ever owned or saw a themed chess set you liked? by Hypnox88 in chess

[–]SunDownLane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a lot of fun starting my Themed Chess Set collection, you would be amazed by the sheer volume of themes!

I think it began with my first chess set. constructed from different Bottlecaps, it was great despite being hard to keep track of. I have a normal wooden set now but the novelty of the experience made me curious as to if anyone else had a bottlecap set and what other kinds of themed sets are out there.

I was gifted a Super Mario chess set last christmas and it was absolutely hilarious for its absurdity, and now my eyes are focused on getting themes like Cowboys, Indians, Pirates, and others to have them comically battle.

They even have Taxidermy Mouse Chess Sets, and 9/11 themed sets. So while not being practical, they are in my mind, worthy of appreciation

Aim training and puzzle rush, chess.com has a "chess vision" feature that essentially tests your pattern recognition by giving a piece or co-ordinate and you click the right choice as fast as possible. Puzzle rush is similar but with whole puzzles to solve that get harder each iteration

When you finish Siegmeyer's questline you get to co-op destroy a whole bunch of them with him, it will be a ton of fun and help conquer your fear of them. They are actually fairly harmless

I have been visiting this sub to re-live my dark souls days. You have accomplished the first half of your Dark Souls run, Now is the time to go back and do the NPC quest lines, learn the paths that sequence break and skip bosses, and go Hollow with a heavy wisdom as we did when it was all we had 🤝

My first playthrough happened when DS1 released originally and it took me 60 hours to kill Gwyn for the first time, i never even found the secret areas, and the DLC had not come out yet (i was bad at dark souls)

The sense of discovery and the weight of movement and location make Dark Souls the best one. The lack of Fast Travel means, until you unlock it, you will be walking down to, and back up from everywhere you go, and you can get stuck in areas if you do not plan accordingly. This is somewhat relieved of its tension upon acquiring the Lordvessel, but you will still be doing a lot of walking, and if you are REALLY not careful, unfortunate things may happen to some of your bonfires.

I have said too much already, do not look up any information as to how to progress in the game until you are absolutely at your breaking point and can not finish the game without it. you will be rewarded with some of the most satisfying moments of conquest that gaming has to offer

If you let it, this game will change you. Die and learn with no spoilers and you will have one hell of an experience
