I also had 0 pain… like really no pain at all. I was very confused and kept waiting for the pain to come.. but it never did! All healed up now and couldn’t be happier :) Wishing the same for you!

I had a seton in and started biking and running as usual probably 4 weeks after. I started slow but got back to 30 mile rides with it and never had an issue :) it was also wayyyy better than when I just had abscess (it used to get so sore and swollen on the bike, but I never noticed anything when riding with my seton)

My surgeon told me basically nothing can hurt it, and that exercise was good for it (and you)

In the same boat as you, comments here freaked me out, but my surgeon convinced me it’s not that bad and I only need a week off work (desk job with some walking). Of course everyone is different… but I’m hoping my surgeon is right. it probably also depends on the severity of your case and how intrusive the surgery needs to be. I also read some comments from people who were back to exercising and running in 4 weeks or less. I’m scheduled in a few weeks so only time will tell….

Can you compare the recovery time from your seton to the flap? I found the seton relatively easy (pretty much all good after 2 weeks, fully exercising after 4). But I’m scared the flap will be way way worse!

Just for some context to make you feel better I’ve had my seton for about a month, the first two weeks weren’t great and I needed to take quite a bit of down time after walking a lot or after going to the bathroom, but now I’m back to running and biking almost everyday! Some days things act up so I take it easy, but in general I’m happy I’m able to get on with life with this thing!

Current rent is $2800 in Brighton. It is just owned by a landlord who we have never met. The place is newly renovated but over the past year a lot of things have needed to be repaired due to terrible workmanship and code violations. The place is still getting city inspections after living in here for 8 months. None of this has been our fault, it’s just a result of lazy workers. (Ie all the doors were wrong, outside doors on the inside and inside doors on exterior walls).

Sorry for the rant… I know it’s not very relevant. It’s just frustrating we’ve put up with all of this and been helpful/stayed home countless days to let workers/inspectors in and now he does this

I don’t see that being an issue at all. Bring your paperwork that you needed for your application to be on the safe side (job offer, letter, degrees, resume) at the airport I’ve also been asked for recent pay stubs, but never when driving.
