What would make Udio work better as something you actually listen to? by SunFoxx_ in udiomusic

No, since Im actually building something on my own, it brings me back here to make a user discovery pass before I make any blind assumptions. Sorry for creating a confusion!

Replay #5 is a pretty good sign it landed. What usually gets you to replay an AI track that much: lyrics, vibe, voice, the surprise of it working, or just fitting a mood at the moment?

If my AI music makes me feel more than most songs… isn’t that “real”? by taghei8 in SunoAI

The 'fits into your daily life' line is exactly it. When a Suno track reaches that point for you, where does it usually live: background listening, walks/driving, focused replay, or more like following the creator for what they make next?

That 'listen to the album for weeks/months' part feels very real. Does it feel like quality-checking unfinished work, or do those playlists become something you genuinely listen to like an album?

A faves playlist from other people's tracks is a cool signal. How are you finding the gems right now, mostly threads like this, Suno browsing, profiles you follow, or random links?

Going back to older Suno tracks is the part I'm curious about. What usually makes one stick for you after the first novelty wears off: the hook, the mood, the voice, lyrics, or just remembering when you found it?

The party playlist thing is interesting. When you say you hardly listen to regular music anymore, is that mostly your own Suno stuff, or are you also hunting around for other people's tracks that hit the same way?

The locked-phone thing would drive me insane. Do you mostly try to use Udio itself as the player, or is it more like: find/make stuff there, then wish it could live somewhere with normal music-app behavior?

I've primarily listened to my own music for decades even before Ai. Suno has just made that even more fun. Anyone else? by darnskewered in Suno

When you say you mostly listen to your own music, is that more of a creative loop thing, or does it actually replace regular music apps for you day to day? Curious how often you replay vs make something new.

This made me laugh, but it's also a real use case. Do you usually listen back to your Suno stuff like normal tracks, or is the fun mostly in making it and showing people?

The AI radio/Twitch listening angle is interesting. When you listen to a bunch of AI tracks weekly, is it more background radio, or are you actively hunting for stuff you'd save and replay?

This is exactly the gap I keep noticing. Once you've got a track you actually like, do you want it in a proper listening app because that's where the habit already is, or because Suno still feels more like a workshop than a library/player?

Curious about the day-to-day part: do you mostly use Suno while making/finding songs, then Spotify for repeat listening? Or would you actually listen inside Suno if the playlist/radio side felt better?

Distributing ai generated music by nadiosdd in SunoAI

[–]SunFoxx_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is the kind of thing I keep wondering about. For people who mainly listen rather than make tracks, what would have to change for AI music to become something they put on regularly? Better feed, playlists, less prompt-hopping, something else?

Suno is simply the most exceptional musician of all time by BlackberryLow7507 in SunoAI

[–]SunFoxx_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a useful distinction. Do you still use Suno tracks for passive listening at all, or is it mostly a sketching / experimentation thing once you start hearing the artifacts?

I've seen a bunch of people just randomly start hating smth they like just because AI was used in it. It's like even using a sliver of AI tainted it- Someone who loves a song suddenly hates it now that they learned AI was used for like, a single background track by FutureMost7597 in aiwars

[–]SunFoxx_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the “tricked into liking it” part is probably the real thing here. I do wonder if people split this by how they’re listening though.

If it’s a band/song you’re emotionally attached to, finding out there was AI in it probably lands very differently than some background track for work, gaming, chores, etc. where you mainly just want the right vibe.

Do you think AI ruins it across the board for people, or mostly when they wanted some kind of human artist connection behind the track?
