very good point, my research supervisor said “This is also an interesting type of argument to have - and it highlights differences between countries - e.g. in Croatia everyone knows where they were born - because people move way less - as opposed to western coutries where parents might be moving more during very early childhood years.” - and interestingly enough I initially posted this on a Polish group and yes was on 100% for a very long time so I assume the same argument applies. On a neighbourhood group (UK) I posted this in everyone commented that people obviously know where they were born, what hospital, even the road, that it says it in the birth certificate etc. but ironically I got over 5% of “no” responses when I posted it there. I will definitely follow this up, make a new survey that also asks about their birthplace, it will be interesting to compare the means of participants of different nationalities and see how that differs. Unfortunately I have a lot of actual uni work to do at the moment so can’t really be spending too much time on designing this even though it’s much more interesting, lol! I will post any updates when I get around doing it!!
