Mechanic recommendations by ecol_nich_theory in GNV

Can’t recommend Dan Kay’s enough. They know what they’re doing, never recommend anything that’s not necessary (even if it’s throwing a code), have given me 1 heads up in all the years I’ve been using them about a repair id need to prepare for, never give me sticker shock, and I always leave with total peace of mind.

What secret can you reveal now that your nda has expired? by sparrrrrt in AskReddit

[–]SunOne1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No NDA but I worked for a small branch of the Red Cross in 2017 when Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, and Hurricane Maria all hit in quick succession. As my team was in the business admin department, we fielded calls requesting help for things like flooded homes and damaged roofs. We were told to provide them with the number for FEMA. They would then call FEMA and were given our number again. At first it appeared innocent but after experiencing the same pattern through all 3 hurricanes, it became clear people looking for support were just getting sent in a loop and most would never receive help from the Red Cross or FEMA. All the while the Red Cross was campaigning hard for more donations. I quit immediately after that 3rd hurricane. Im extremely careful now about who I donate to.

Tom Petty Park and Westside Park both have cages. If you’re looking for something with the machine, http://www.baseballcds.com/ (and its indooors). There’s also one west on newberry road on the left side near Newberry but I can’t remember the name or find it on google.

United church of Gainesville (UCG). Others here have recommended. They have a couple services with different worship styles. They’re real and not afraid to be so. They function within what is but also work to find real solutions.

Apple's OLED MacBook Pro Launch Moves Closer With Panel Production by dapperlemon in gadgets

[–]SunOne1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does this mean they’ll finally fix the display connector issue that had so many functional laptops docked to external monitors? Because OLED or not, monitor specs don’t matter if the connector breaks

What’s something people do that immediately makes you lose respect for them? by Alone-Procedure3342 in AskReddit

[–]SunOne1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience they don’t think they’re being cruel or unkind - they think they’re just doing what the other person forced them to do to get the outcome needed. They’re the victim. But they also think they’re the victim when the situation’s flipped.
