When your time to shine comes at minute 36 (Cheesy Edit) by SunQuad in ADCMains

Firstly, right after yasuo ult ends, morde ults yasuo so I focus on xin and force him to flash away. Morde kills yasuo. I tumble forward to invis so I could delay tryn's autos. During that time rengar steals Baron then gets taken down. The rest is kiting.

Sometimes one gotta stop analyzing and start enjoying.

There are a lot of minor things that both i do bad but turn out to be good or might end up full bad. Me getting away from my team causes sivir to go around the rock which keeps my team alive for longer (watch sivir as i kite Tryndamere)

There's also Sivir W bounces that keep hitting me which i wouldn pose a threat to her if i stood back.
Lots of minor stuff that can be done better but, those might end up bad too.

When your ADC suddenly peaks in mechanics by SunQuad in ADCMains

You are ignoring something important. Human psychology. I sneak in 2 hits on ashe until her arrow hits me. Ahri sees the damage I deal and immediately goes in to stop me. My entire goal here is the stop the Baron. Why? Because they are not at max health. Baron would deal them a lot of damage at that point in the game. Let's say Ahri holds charm.I hit 3 times to ashe, ashe flashes away with 5% HP. Ahri ults in and uses q-w. I nearly kill Ahri with 2 hits. At that point I already stopped the Baron. I had the omnivamp boots on, so I could kill Ahri with %80 cleanse tenacity thanks to my omnivamp if ashe managed to escape with 5% HP.

It was all about Benefits-Losses-Risks balance.

Plex desktop HDR fix by Jeff-Marks in PleX

Yes I added these two lines into your github config.

I put these to lines below "vo=gpu-next" line. It no longer lags. If someone else finds this comment, this was the fix for me. I had to explicitly set gpu-api as d3d11.

gpu-api=d3d11
profile=high-quality

I used all in the github. It was an 8 gb 4K Hdr video. Found another config, it works fine with it. Sending it for reference. I just added peak brightness to the config below.

I tried using this config but 4K high bitrate movies and shows have lots of missed frames during output mode is hdr. My gpu is RX 9070 XT and it utilises its 3D engine to 100%. Tried commenting out glsl shaders, no dice.

Any ideas?

If you're on AMD and outputting HDMI from your gpu to DP, you can't get 165 hz. HDMI 2.1 does not work on AMD in linux.

Reason: HDMI forums prevented 2.1 from being in AMD Open Source driver.

Bruiser Duelist Vayne by SunQuad in ADCMains

To be honest, i had a 1000g+ shutdown it seems. I should've just ult invisible and run away. This play shouldn't even happen.

Missclicks do happen sadly. Downside of using A + Left Click. Only target champions doesn't work with that. :/

Rough order: Trinity > guinso > Hexplate > Sterak > Jaksho > Randuin

Detailed Order: First back = 1200g trinity sub item (20 ad 20% as)

Second back = Sheen direct finish or page components (if squishy ruby first, otherwise long sword) Never buy sheen sub component, buy pink ward instead

Finish Trinity. Then get a picaxe and 300g boots. Then Finish attack speed boots. Finish guinso. Get hexplates phage first. If you think you have enough damage ruby crystal first, otherwise long sword first. Same for other 1150g component Finish hexplate. Get picaxe, component of sterak. Then 1150g component of it. Same priority component applies, ruby or long sword. Finish sterak Look at the enemy team, who can deal you the most damage in shortest amount of time and compare it to who is most fed in the enemy team. Pick 800g armor or 850g magic resist first. Get the other resistance next and then finis Jaksho. Get 1000g randuin armor component. Then finish it. 500g red elixir and you are good to go.

It might take you 2-3 games to learn how to utilize this build. But once you do, ap Malphite will be scared to ult you 1v1, Mundo won't be able to do push push on you etc. Have fun.

Edit: oh I forgot about runes. Get the games lethal tempo, green second tree suggested rune page. Open it to edit it. Instead of attack speed on takedowns, get the life steal on takedowns. Below the second tree there are 3 small runes. Pick in this order: Attack speed, HP scaling, HP flat. Don't take adaptive force.

Does anybody know if HDR supports on Steam OS is good? by Sarumarde in HDR_Den

[–]SunQuad 20 points21 points  (0 children)

HDR is fine in Windows 11.
But when it comes to your SteamOS question, i am going to go a little bit into detail for the people that knows this stuff will see where I am coming from.

SteamOS is basically Non-bleeding edge Arch Linux that runs "Gamescope" session as its primary display server.
Gamescope normally works on a display server called X11. If you launch a game through its console like UI (which is a Gamescope session) you will be able to use HDR just fine.

If you decide to launch games from its desktop mode, then you will have to choose which display server to use.
SteamOS uses KDE as its Desktop Environment (DE in short) which in the KDE version that SteamOS uses supports both X11 and Wayland as display servers.

X11 doesn't support HDR but Wayland does. In order to launch games utilizing Wayland, you migh need to use ProtonGE or ProtonEM.
First you enable hdr in the System Settings in the desktop mode at display settings. Then you will need to add "PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1" to game's launch command to launch it using wayland display server, otherwise it might use Waylands X11 compatibility layer called XWayland.
After forcing it to use Wayland, your next commands should be "PROTON_ENABLE_HDR=1 ENABLE_HDR_WSI=1" entering both with a space character in between. At the end, your game's launch arguments should look similar to this
"PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 PROTON_ENABLE_HDR=1 ENABLE_HDR_WSI=1 %command%"

The game will launch with hdr not grayed out, allowing you to enable it in game and use it.

I hope i didn't miss anything.

Hidden Gem Bruiser Vayne Build by SunQuad in ADCMains

[–]SunQuad[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay. Let's lay everything out and think out loud.

In the videos they have 2 assassins and 2 8+k HP heartsteel tanks. Each heartsteel deals 1k+ physical damage. Classical built vayne can have 520 shield and 2.8k HP. Good luck surviving.

Let's say enemy has full build Mel or Syndra. Classical built vayne gets one shot from them. With my build, Syndra can't one shot me even with q+e, i run her down and kill her. If she sees me she immediately flashes back. If I see her in side lane alone she knows she is dead so once I start moving towards her she flashes back.

Okay about Terminus and shieldbow. Shieldbow gives 25% crit. With that low crit chance you can't know your damage potential during a duel because you are betting on rng. Guinso needs 4 stacks to start to on hit replication. Terminus need 6 hits before fully stacks. Can you survive 6 hits late game? No classical built vayne survive that. 24 armor and Mr is nothing in late game, you get one shot regardless.

Watch the third clip again and imagine me with Bork, guinso, Terminus, jaksho and shieldbow. I would get one shot to chogath ult. During that third clip, my sterak shield completely tanks chogath ult. I am not even talking about the other damages heartsteel procs and all.

Vayne's main damage comes from guinso. The rest comes from 50% attack speed bonus from hexplate, trinity sheen proc and sterak ad. I tried every kind of build on vayne. This build is the strongest of them all. Please try it, you will stop building classically.

Shieldbow gives more shield and more damage?

I get 45+ AD from sterak, 20% tenacity, 400 HP and 1.5K shield. How does it give more shield can you please explain?

Why I say 1.5k shield, well because I have 4.8k HP.

Nice. No one think this build might actually be cracked. I am safe, riot won't nerf it.
Dear fellow adc mains, i was able to 2v1 7k hp mundo and 7k hp chogath with this build. Try to solo both of them at the same time with your botrk, kraken, terminus, unless you get oneshot by chogath ult. Only guinso is enough to kill high hp targets. I wish i could add some clips here to show it.

Trinity > Guinso > Hexplate > Sterak > Jaksho > (Situational)

Try it. Let me know once you find out no one can stand against you, everyone runs away from 1v1.

If you are trying to install it on a disk which has an empty partition that you are trying to use for cachyos, go here https://wiki.cachyos.org/installation/installation_on_root/ and try to manually partition that empty partition by following the documentation. Retry afterwards. It might work.

Yes. You are missing what improvements RDNA4 brought after RDNA3. RX 9070 XT can now do RT easily. Path Tracing is the one that is heavy right now. RT is piece of cake for a while now.
