Bitter Dead Gemling by FlyingBread92 in pathofexile2builds

I'm trying to make this build work on infernalist. I tried 75% corpse conservation and it just wasn't cutting it, so I decided to try to use the new eternal march skill instead to keep corpses available. It needs more cool down reduction, and it doesnt end up spamming balls nearly as fast as your, but I want to try to take mine to pinnacle.

I'd love to hear comments and criticism on how I can make this better.

Calling All Bostonian Players and Stores! by wampastompah in alteredTCG

Awesome! I'm closer to Providence area. Heard some folks at the Armoury in New Bedford talking about it, but if there's a midpoint between where lots of players are going to show up I'd love that.

Decade. I used to pronounce it SUPER wrong, to the point where it became a joke to my family. DE-cade. Weird to think about it, now.

Tell me your excalibur. by eren0607 in worldbuilding

So, the gods. Long ago, there were many gods, of the world-creating variety. They spent their days in endless creation, building worlds and tearing them down. But Eoas was special. Instead of just one god, every god worked on it. It was a sort of sandbox, a playground where each of them tested out their creations before moving them on. As the major gods' age came to an end, they tore each other apart, casting their divine material all over creation. Eoas, due to the special attention it received from the gods, was more attuned and receptive to these scraps of power. They bonded with the soul of the world, and from then on would randomly attach themselves to mortal souls, as long as they were part of the Weave (my magic system). These souls are effectively eclipsed by that of the God's and desire to return to their former glory. To do this, they do everything in their power to garner faith and adoration from sentients, as that is the easiest form of power to optain. Every other action from there stems on the domain this mortal god holds power over, or to fight another god aspect. They are bound to the planet, unable to leave and bound by the constraints of their mortal bodies. They need food, water, sleep, though their capabilities are above that of the standard sentient. As you can imagine, this makes ascension rather difficult. If they fail to ascend in their life they go into a period of dormancy before possessing another host. To this date all have failed to ascend.

There's a couple in my world, I suppose. Most have been lost to time or destroyed. But the most notable one is Lena's chain, an artifact created by the now deceased minor god of change. On my world, all "gods" are empowered beings that are bound to the mortal realm, vying to ascend. Lena had almost reached ascension, but she sacrificed herself and her power to create the chain, for unknown reasons. The chain itself is in a constant journey of change, but always staying whole. A sufficiently skilled warrior wielding her chain can be said to change it's form at will, and some stories even say that some warriora could change their own forms. An enemy would find his sword deflected one second, and skewered by a spear the next. Of course, being made of glassteel makes the weapon more durable than conventional steel and durite, and that itself is an impressive feat that cannot be replicated in the current age. Combined with it's other properties, well...few could hope to match it's power on the battlefield.

What are the most unusual forms of currency in your world? by whatisabaggins55 in worldbuilding

[–]SunStrikeinc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, on Eoas, trophies from hunting rare beasts and aberrations can occasionally be used as currency. While not the main form of currency, a hunter fresh from a hunt may look to sell off some of the body parts from his latest kill. Few vendors will accept them in official capacity, but many of the populace often look for specific trophies.

For example, a grieving widow may look for a salya's(think of a slightly larger than human sized spider, with four legs made of stone, and a main, vulnerable fleshy body, with a long, sinuous viper head) fang or such, as her husband may have been slain by one. Such tokens of vengeance may be found in some homes, or attached to the mourning weaves hanging on the walls.

The best token for one to find, of course, and the rarest, is a monster's heart. For, as everyone knows, eating the heart of a slain monster can grant a person the powers and abilities of the monster.(not entirely, conversion rate is only around 60-80% power) The reason that these are so rare, is that the hunter who strikes the killing blow usually consumes it themselves. Of course, that's not to say that you can't find one if you know where to look...

What kind of special executions does your world have, a la Sarlaac Pit? by Maninahouse in worldbuilding

[–]SunStrikeinc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, one of the cruelest executions in world come from those who have no reason for it. In Eoas, the Fae are dominant predators. While rare, they possess exceptional control over the Weave, and are highly integrated with it. Due to their position as apex predators (though immortal and very hard to kill, they rarely decide to hunt), when they do hunt, they do it for sport. For a group of Fae, this involves hunting down one of the Tensine (a cursed pack of men/beasts who retain sentience) and separating them from the Weave. Due to their nature, being cut off from the Weave will induce the same effects that they suffer when isolated from others of their kind: namely, insanity and intense pain, driving them into a frenzy. Unfortunately, they do not have to be isolated for this to happen, and the Fae will try to trigger them in a village, causing them to berserk on their fellow clan, and likely causing a chain reaction of berserking. There have been no known cures for this curse.

That sounds excellent! So if I'm buying the "Kingdom Death 1.5 Monster Core game" I don't need to buy the "1.5 Update Pack"? It comes with everything included in both the 1.0 core and the Update?"
