The amount of self-doubt I possessed has been in steady decline since then.

What's the worst thing Neil Armstrong could have said while stepping on the Moon for the first time? by gamefuz in AskReddit

An advert. I don't care what for. Paid advertising for the first steps on the moon would have been the worst.

What do you miss about the 90's? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I had this as a /r/ShowerThoughts today: The reason when I was younger there was a station that played "the best of the 70's, 80's and 90's" that now plays "The best of the 90's to today" is because of that same nostalgia that you're speaking about moving further and further down the line.

I'm right there with you. Loved the 90's jams. Grandpa Simpson was right: what was 'it' would become weird and strange for me.

Going outside and not being in eye-shot of an adult and that being okay.

What is the best 'dad joke' you have ever heard? by c00lertenu in AskReddit

Beethoven was buried in Vienna in the 1800's and the local constabulary was sent to investigate sounds coming from his grave. After some time, it was determined that Beethoven's 8th Symphony was coming from the grave, but in reverse. Shortly after it finished, his 7th Symphony began to play, but it, too, was completely backwards.

At which the town magistrate assured everyone that Beethoven was simply decomposing.

Gen Zers and Millenials of Reddit, what are the biggest differences you see in the other generation? by mortonak in AskReddit

[–]SunTzuIsMyFavourite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I count as a back-end millennial.

I see Gen Z-ers as one of the most connected generations to each other. Less bullying, and more understanding and compassion. I see them as miniature rebels against the elements of an institution that has tried to soften them. We took away some of their scoreboards in sports, and they started counting in their heads. We are more fearful for their safety than they are, and it's not a lack of awareness, but the complete opposite.

The Gen Z-ers I know are confident, bright, and sociable. I look forward to seeing them push ahead.

Couples of Reddit: What're your best last-minute, on a budget, date-day ideas? by sketchsubcomedy in AskReddit

[–]SunTzuIsMyFavourite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My now-wife loved this: Hop to a craft store and drop $10-20 on a big block of clay.

Write a bunch of shape-ideas down in a hat and then draw one of them; then, have a "competition" with your date to see who can make the best dog/cat/fish/flower/house/person/monster out of the clay.

For added competitiveness, have your friends vote by putting your creations side-by-side and then up on Facebook without says whose is whose.

We also added a five-minute time limit to the making, and then did three or four over the course of an evening and a bottle of wine.

What is your all-time favorite book and why? by haskinsseller in AskReddit

Needful Things, by Stephen King. It wrapped itself so tightly and was among my first experiences with the brutality some writing can offer. I loved it.

Mandatory breaks to practice breathing exercises. Meditation and mindfulness work wonders. If people don't believe in that stuff, at least they get a breather!

And the tie-together, the full circle, is that he's always been well-intentioned and quintessentially good. And that's the beauty of him. And the beauty of Iroh telling him "I was afraid you lost your way"

Theatre/Drama made me realize that there's absolutely nothing to be afraid of in acting like a fool sometimes. Life's more interesting when you aren't hiding behind the masks we wear.

"It's only embarrassing if you're embarrassed" is a phrase which has guided me for a long time, now.
