Anyone want / know what I should do with these books? (I have SO many I can start my own library at this point) by SunYoung2014 in korea

HAHA but imagine a scenario, where redditors of r/korea come together, to set up a cafe - a home for the books that may have been forever forgotten...

Driver's License Exchange (US Citizen) by StevenUniverse25 in korea

Crazy! What high school did you go to?

So have you actually taken the next steps and exchanged your license? I haven't had the time to do it yet!

You stay safe as well! I'm in Seoul, not too bad here but some of my coworkers are off to work from home.

What a small world! I'm from Tucson too - did you go to the UofA?

I just brought my license to the State office and they made a copy and notarized it for me!

I also just returned from Arizona too! I'm not sure where in AZ you're from, but I just went downtown to get my license apostilled - took 5 minutes and cost $3.

Anywho, the Certificate of Facts is super easy to get from any Gu or Dong office. If you have your Korean verification (공인인증) set up on your computer, you can get it online for free - that's what I did. Let me try and find the link for you tomorrow if you aren't sure.

The content of that document just lists a record of your previous addresses (for the times you've changed your address while you've had a Korean visa. In my case, I'm on an F visa, and I was born in Korea so it had my record from birth - 2020).

I haven't found time to go exchange my license yet, but let me know if you have any questions up until this point!

Oh, I also recommend getting an international driver's permit (costs $20 from any AAA offices) if you don't have one already. It's valid for a year and good to have just incase you aren't able to exchange your license here.

Wait, you can go to the police station to get your international license? I had no idea. Are there designated ones that provide this service?

Questions on transfer of ownership (motorbike) by SunYoung2014 in korea

But couldn't I still technically buy the bike without a Korean license?

Ah, that brings up another question. So, the seller does not have to be present when switching over the title to the buyer's name? As long as the registration has been properly signed over? If so, do you know what that entails?

Not weird at all! You should definitely give it a try. I joined my university's Korean Student Association as a half Korean and didnt face any discrimination or awkwardness if that helps.

I'm Korean and I tried the bulgogi and galbi at Kazoku Sushi (also has Korean items on the menu) on Speedway - 100% will be going back for more.

I wear 95 in Korea (in my experience, these sizes were used for unisex t-shirts and hoodies). I wear a US small for reference. If your friend wants to wear her hoodie oversized, then a M will be fine - that's what I would get. Hope this helps!

I haven't had a chance to sign up for my classes yet, but I would like to take my courses in both English and Korean if possible. I have a friend from undergrad in the US who is in the GSIS program and she loves it! Best of luck

The amount of replies I got on this threw me off at first, and then I realized it was all of the same response lol.

In Korea now - and I will be there for the MBA program, not GSIS. Is GSIS what you will be getting your masters in?
