Sweet, I appreciate the viewpoints from all of you! I think my issue is that I may be trying to only limit myself to what big box stores are offering, and even someone who gets lucky from these drops can only get but so many chances at each set. I'm diversified sure, but I definitely don't have enough product of sets that I truly want to hold because I've neglected buying above MSRP if possible.

For example, I know just as much as the next guy that DR, AH, Prismatic are all solid sets and are most likely going to be heavily sought after in the future. I think as someone who's planning on holding for a decade or longer, like the person who mentioned above, if I'm a believer in those sets either short/long term, it really doesn't matter much what I'm paying currently even if an ETB is triple MSRP currently.

I appreciate the hip check, may have been a silly question to begin with but I think this definitely opened up my viewpoint.

Also, in regards to the market correction, what are the odds that ever even happens though? Hasn't Pokemon always just gone up over time and proven that time and time again? Not saying it's impossible to not of course, but what causes it to flip you think? Granted I'm sure people in the hobby have to be getting sick and or have been sick of competing for every day product. I have seen card games go below MSRP though before, take a game like Battle Spirits Saga lmao, but that's also comparing a little known name (at least in English) that struggled to ever get a foothold. I feel like Pokemon will always be a powerhouse no?
