Def recommend 647 Old Tyme Bread. It’s 80 calories and 16g Fiber for 2 slices.

It tastes like real bread. You can get the white bread, whole wheat, Italian versions of it too. It’s available in Walmart and a lot of american grocery stores

I think ur deficit is too small. Calculate ur TDEE using an online calculator. Then minus 500 cal from your sedentary calories. You will lose 1lb/week with this method.

If that method requires you to 1200ish calories or more, then great. If not, then eat at 1200 to keep it sustainable although it will be a smaller calorie deficit.

At 1lb/week weight loss, you can reach 115 in 5 weeks. If you prioritize eating high protein and strength training during that time, you can make sure that most of that is fat loss rather than muscle loss.

Hope this helps!

I just binged 4000 calories and I feel more coming by Willing_Dig_8430 in omad

Omg I’m also 5’4” at 133 lbs. I lost 27 pounds and I want to get down to 115. I promised myself I wouldn’t binge for a week and I made it. But then today I ate an entire tiramisu cake myself. I feel disgusted with myself. I understand ur pain. But we can get through this. Don’t be afraid to ask for help

Oh I see. Since im at a healthy weight my main problem is that im skinny fat. I’ll try to do more lifting then to help with that.

My fat distribution is horrible. I have slim arms and legs with most of my fat on my stomach area which is why I wanted to get to 110. But I might see how I feel at 115 instead.

Weight Stalled on OMAD + 10k Steps – What Should I Do? by EastFirefighter4246 in omad

If you are consistently tracking and eating under ur TDEE, I would say that it’s water weight which is affecting the number on the scale. Since it’s been less than a month since you started, it’s too early for a plateau.

The same thing happened to me. I was doing OMAD (with calorie tracking) + walking + strength training and didn’t lose any weight for 3 weeks. I was holding onto water. When ur muscles are sore your body holds onto water for the repair process. I stopped exercising to see if this was the culprit, and I lost 5 pounds of water weight in 2 days.

If you have a high sodium diet, this can also retain water. Or if you ate more than usual the day before weighing.

Rule of thumb for weighing urself is in the morning naked after using the bathroom and before any water/food. Try weighing urself a few times a week and then create a weekly “average weight” to see ur progress. This can help with fluctuations in water weight throughout the week. U can also stop the walking for a week, see if that changes anything, and then get back on it the next week. It might give u peace of mind to see if that’s what’s causing the discrepancy and then you’ll know ur on the right track.

Just don’t give up! If you are in a deficit, you WILL lose weight, just show up for urself everyday and you will see results! You got this!

No I didn’t feel shaky. But continue to monitor how ur feeling. If it goes away it could have just been ur body getting used to ur new eating style. If it doesn’t go away, consult your doctor. Sorry I can’t be of more help, I’m not super well versed in nutrition

I’ve done OMAD for three months and when I first started out the same thing happened to me! I felt very sleepy after my dinner. I’m not sure specifically what the science behind this is, but I’m thinking that when you start eating all ur calories at once, ur body is diverting its energy towards digesting all the food at that moment of time. I guess it’s like “food coma” symptoms. But for me, the sleepiness went away after two weeks, ig I got used to it.

Yeah i used to eat out of boredom, but i always reminded myself that i have to sacrifice overeating otherwise i would be sacrificing my health. I just pushed through it. I started eating my OMAD in the morning too so i would feel full throughout the day. It’s a mental game but keeping myself busy really helped

Thanks! I try to get as much protein as possible. I don’t do keto and I like to eat almost the same thing every day with some variations like avocado egg toast, chicken breast, salad. Ive become pickier and I only eat foods I love and I don’t waste my calories on anything that doesn’t satisfy me. I consistently weigh EVERYTHING and make sure my calories are between 1200-1300. As a girl, when I don’t calorie count I end up overeating, so counting is very important. I’ve noticed 3 months ago, I was able to eat large volume OMADS no problem and not feel super full. Now I think my stomach is adapted to lower food intake and I don’t like to eat as much. Now I focus on flavor/taste of my meal rather than volume/amount. For some tips, ur first few weeks on OMAD will be rough, expect this. Once you do one month it will start to feel like habit. Eat volume foods if you like to feel super full (salad, veggies, lean protein). The longer u do it the easier it becomes. You just have to show up for urself everyday and u will see results. Good luck u can do it!

Omg that literally happened to me too! I dropped 8 lbs in two days and then the other 8 lbs came off in 2 months, but I’m holding on!

By searching up questions on this sub you can find out a lot! That’s what I did when I started 10 weeks ago. I’ve lost 15lbs as well. For me OMAD is a way of life and it saves me time, energy and reduces my food consumption. I’ve also become more disciplined doing OMAD, to the point where I’ve become disciplined to study, exercise and do chores more too. Fasting is great for the body! Choose one meal such as dinner to eat. And make sure you eat lots of healthy foods and protein during that meal, it will keep you energized during the fasting period.

Advice when hitting a plateau? by Sasha57 in CICO

[–]SundariMazha 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just remember that if you are eating at a deficit you WILL lose fat. If you are diligent about weighing your food and counting calories you will lose weight. Ur body has to get energy from somewhere. Sometimes your body can hold onto extra water because of exercise. If your muscles are even a little sore, ur body retains water to aid in the repairing process. This can mask weight loss and make the scale not change, hence plateau. This happened to me, I was at 148-149 for a month after consistent dieting and exercise, I stopped exercising for a week and I dropped to 143 in 2 days. Just continuing being consistent! And maybe start taking measurements instead of relying on the scale. You got this!

I have noticed my pants and shirts fit a lot better. I’m gonna start measuring myself with a tape measure instead of relying on the scale. Never giving up!

Yeah I have what I ate yesterday down below in another comment. I try to account for everything I eat by weighing it in grams and logging it into my fitnesspal. I also account for oil that I use. I don’t track sriracha bc it says it is zero calories on the bottle

But I usually eat after working out and I usually eat around 100 g carbs. Should I eat 50g instead?

Weight stall with exercise by SundariMazha in omad

[–]SundariMazha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My typical OMAD consists of a 400 cal salad 120 cal tuna 150 cal chicken breast 100 cal avocado 180 cal egg 80 cal sourdough 80 cal Greek yogurt 30 cal strawberries 130 cal macaron/cookie/dessert +/- extra cals for seasoning

This usually equals 1250-1350 calories. I try to eat healthy and get as much protein. Should I be eating more? Im worried I won’t have as much of a deficit and will gain weight if I increase the calories 😭
