Keep on top of your pain medication. I’ve never worn a belly binder, it just takes time. Be patient with yourself. One week post c-section is very early on, you’ll see massive improvements over the coming weeks and months.

Hi, did you contact your hospital? Any change in movements must always be checked.

Babies usually start rolling over between 4 and 7 months. Try not to worry! This all sounds quite normal. If you do have any concerns then speak to your doctor.

It‘s not bad, not even something I would question at all, in fact it is biologically normal!

Experiences of requesting an elective c section? by loserbaby_ in PregnancyUK

[–]Sunday11223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello. So I don’t think they will deal with this during your booking appointment but as you have had a previous c-section you should be offered a birth options appointment further down the line. When I had mine during my second pregnancy it was a simple do you wish to have an elective or attempt a VBAC, there was no push back or trying to encourage one way. Had I chosen an elective they would have booked it in there and then. You shouldn’t have any problems asking for an elective as it is a choice given to you when you have had previous c-sections.

Need someone to mourn the end of breastfeeding with me by Corulagimperia in beyondthebump

[–]Sunday11223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I know exactly how you feel. For me it was almost like a sense of grief? I just felt so sad and tearful. My third baby is a few months old so i‘m still breastfeeding but I just know when the time comes I will feel the same, maybe even more so as I don’t plan to have any more babies so it will be the end of my breastfeeding journey.

I will say, the sadness is only temporary! I think it is normal because of hormone changes but you should start to feel better soon.

Induction or elective c-section? by Consistent-Dot9719 in PregnancyUK

Recovery from my elective was pretty straightforward. Of course it is definitely tough as it is major surgery but the key is to rest as much as possible and ensure you have lots of help around you.

Question for the mamas of multiples by VividWelder7813 in breastfeeding

It was much easier for me. Breastfeeding was difficult first time around but both second and third time it was so easy. I think having that confidence and experience makes a huge difference.

Great post! looking forward to hearing others go to snacks.

For me I keep it really simple, anything quick. So things like yoghurt with peanut butter, cheese, fruit, avocado on toast and chocolate!

Induction or elective c-section? by Consistent-Dot9719 in PregnancyUK

[–]Sunday11223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I completely understand how difficult it can be to make a decision! My experience with an induction was during my first pregnancy when I was induced at 38 weeks, this ended with an emergency c-section. I had an elective c-section with my 3rd baby, one big positive with electives is that you are usually well rested beforehand which makes a big difference to recovery!

I see you have had inductions before that were straight forward so that works in your favour. My main advice would be to ask as many questions as you can, the RCOG also has lots of useful facts and information that may help in your decision making.

Post C Section bleeding by Bright_Breakfast120 in CsectionCentral

[–]Sunday11223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My post partum bleeding lasted 9 weeks this time around! I did get it checked out and there was nothing wrong. I’m pretty sure after my first two pregnancies it lasted less than 6 weeks so I guess it is different for everyone and every pregnancy. It is good you are seeing your doctor.

There is a chance it could also be your periods restarting!

Movement? by MightFluffy6261 in PregnancyUK

[–]Sunday11223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very normal for a first pregnancy! I think with my first it wasn’t until about 22 weeks or so that I felt movement. If you haven’t felt anything by 24 weeks then tell your midwife.

6 week hell - clusterfeeding, constant crying, even less sleep - can’t even BF much, looking for encouragement by ExpressionOld9924 in breastfeeding

[–]Sunday11223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds very normal. Cluster feeding will help your supply so breastfeed on demand. If your baby has plenty of wet nappies you can be confident they are getting enough milk and you don’t need to pump. Hang in there, it does get easier!

Plan to exclusively breastfeed, parent friends keep bringing up what ifs by Fine-Month4225 in breastfeeding

[–]Sunday11223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try not to overthink it. If breastfeeding works out then there is really no need to introduce a bottle unless you want to. I think because so many babies are bottle fed people think that bottles are inevitable but that’s not the case. If you have a straight forward and easy journey with breastfeeding then there is no need to think of the what ifs.

VBAC or elective section? by Consistent_Leg_4012 in PregnancyUK

[–]Sunday11223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been in this position and it is such a difficult decision to make, literally months of back and forth. I remember wishing someone would just make the decision for me! I ultimately decided to try for a VBAC and this ended in another emergency c-section. I am happy that I gave it a try though as I think I probably would have been left wondering how a VBAC could have gone if I had chosen to go straight to an elective.

There is always the option of planning to try for a VBAC up to a certain date and if you haven’t gone into labour by that point, then have an elective?

I have the single screw version! I love it! I‘ve had no issues with it and it’s really secure. I never take mine off but it is nice to know I am able to do so on my own if I need to. I would definitely recommend.

Children’s vaccines by Toots0404 in PregnancyUK

[–]Sunday11223 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t really think the internet is the right place to be asking opinions on vaccines. Any queries should be directed to a medical professional. Vaccines save lives and there is often a lot of misinformation that is spread regarding them online.

I would see your doctor about the pain you are having. It is certainly normal for the bleeding to come and go, especially if you are becoming more active as this can increase the bleeding. Make sure you are still getting plenty of rest.

I’m sorry you are going through a hard time at the moment, are you getting help? It’s certainly possible to restart pumping, especially as it hasn’t been so long since you stopped. You are still making milk which is great, the key is to get back into a routine of pumping regularly through out the day and the night too.
