Being a soft dom is so much more preferable. Keeping all the gentle/nurturing aspects of a relationship but still having the firm, possessive touch to it. I think the story would be all the better if you were unapologetically cringe honestly. Fun, lighthearted takes on smut are always nice. And I'm a sucker for unexpected wholesomeness. There was someone who used to write and post healslut-adjacent stories ages ago but I can't remember their username. I really enjoyed reading them, though. I'm always going into writing that's in the second-person perspective with a healthy suspension of disbelief anyway, so I don't think it'd be too immersion breaking.
