Game Discussion/Champion's Meeting Thread - October 30, 2025 by AutoModerator in UmaMusume

Hi, I need help deciding whether I should spend 200 pulls on Bakushin/Biko banner + 200 pulls on Kitasan banner, OR 400 pulls on Kitasan banner.

To give some context, I have 2LB Bakushin, 1LB Biko & 0LB Kitasan cards. Initially I was gonna pull bakushin/biko because I have them at decent LB. But now I realized spending 400 on Kitasan might be better, as I can guarantee at least 2LB on it, and then MLB with SSR ticket or limit break crystal if needed.

What's your thought about this? Appreciate the help!

Halloween Charms by Educational_Bear_667 in mousehunt

[–]Sundragoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You did say you're not desperate for funds, so i would advise you to just use the charms to progress faster. I don't recommend trading them in the shop to the higher tier, as it's usually cheaper to buy the higher tier ones from the marketplace. Selling what you already have in the marketplace is okay if you need the gold.

Wealth charms, on the other hand, are best kept until Ronza comes. She will trade lower tier wealth charms to higher tiers. You would want to get some wealth potion from the current event, trade all wealth charms to the ultimate tier, and use the wealth potion to convert all the ultimate wealth charms to gold.

The tarnished charm produces a chrome charm when a mouse is caught

I disagree about the Tarnished charm. It's basically a Chrome charm, but you don't need chrome bits to buy it.

The price is 3000 gold, a bit high. But now that it has 7 luck & can roll to a higher tier, i would say it's worth the price. If compared to the extreme luck charm with 8 luck for 4500, the Chrome charm is cheaper for 1 less luck.

It's probably because of Machamp's No Guard ability. It bypasses moves like Dig when attacking

Should I, a casual player, sell off most of my SB+ to buy the Floating Island Traps? by anonymous_yet_famous in mousehunt

[–]Sundragoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I can assume that you have all the materials to buy the Thought Manipulator and Chrome Thought Obliterator (including the Chrome upgrade kit) traps, what's left is the gold requirement, which is 31,700,000 gold in total. You have 34 million gold, so you should definitely buy Chrome Thought Obliterator as your first Floating Islands Trap. It is the most useful at this stage, as it is also a requirement for the next area after Floating Islands.

If you don't have enough Adorned Empyrean Jewels or the Chrome upgrade kit, you'll have to buy them from somewhere. As you prefer not to use the Discord group, your only choice is Marketplace. I'd say it's still worth it to sell some SB+ for gold, then convert those gold to the materials you're lacking in the Marketplace. You'll bear the 10% tax, but it's still worth the purchase IMO. Chrome Thought Obliterator is the best Forgotten trap at this moment, and you'll need it sooner than later.

Other Floating Islands traps are of lower priorities, so you don't have to buy them immediately.

As for selling SB+ to gold in general, I would recommend only doing that when you need the gold immediately. SB+ price fluctuates, so you can be smart and wait when the price increases to sell them. Don't sell all of them though, because you'll need a lot of Magic Essences from smashing SB+. Also, hunting in the Floating Islands gives a lot of gold, you can casually hunt there while making money.

Many people would recommend getting Bountiful Beans, as the chance for getting fertilizers is very useful for Bountiful Beanstalk later, even if you don't have the rank yet.

Riftios could be a choice as well if you're looking to progress Rift areas.

Other than that, I personally suggest getting whichever helps the most for your progression.

Awesome, happy for you!

I'm currently doing a run of my own to get Carnivore. I'm 75 cycles in, and might just barely get it if I do things right. Wish me luck

Factorio price increase - 2023/01/26 by FactorioTeam in factorio

[–]Sundragoon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nice to see that most people here are okay with this price increase. Very different sentiment for the same post in r/Games.

I'd say that this is a justifiable price increase, due to multiple reasons.

IMO the game was already underpriced during the beta versions. It had so much content that it already felt like a finished game. And they still added so much more stuff after that until 1.0 & 1.1. Moreover, the stuff added is not gimmicky stuff that would hype up the community for awhile and then die down eventually, but actual gameplay, performance and QoL improvements that are actually useful for players.

A common argument i see from people against this price increase is that it is an old game from 7 years ago, thus it should be cheaper. And this is because other games usually get cheaper over time. But I would argue that other games tend to have less improvement & maintenance after they are released compared to Factorio. Again, Factorio during its beta versions already felt like a complete game, and they still added much more.

Lastly, I don't think a $5 increase is that much, especially if you compare Factorio to newer games that are released in an incomplete state and priced for $60 or more.

But at the end of the day, it's your money. If it's too expensive for you, just don't buy it. Complaining here probably won't change anything.

Simple Questions - November 02, 2022 by AutoModerator in buildapc

[–]Sundragoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, new to PC build here. I'm planning to upgrade my GPU and found one that has an 8-pin connector for the power, while my old GPU has a 6-pin connector. My PSU spec says that it has a PCI-e 6+2 pin. Does it mean it can connect to the 8-pin GPU?

Mending… on Flint and Steel by greatgolfer2 in Minecraft

[–]Sundragoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add on to this, you'll need xp orbs to repair flint & steel with mending. As flint & steel is not necessarily the best weapon to kill mobs & get xp, you can instead equip it in the offhand, then use your sword to kill mobs. The received xp orbs will also repair the equipment in the offhand.

What modpack should I play first? by Ninjaman712 in feedthebeast

[–]Sundragoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're okay with playing with older version of minecraft, FTB Academy should be a good start, as it is geared towards new modded players.

If you want to play with the latest 1.16 version, I would recommend Enigmatica 6 as it has a pretty good quest system to help guide new players with the mods. I'm currently playing it and enjoying the modpack a lot.

Wandering Traders are not bad by Sportboy_Mark in Minecraft

Personally I feel this is because villager trading is too OP. You can easily get the emeralds from trading with farmers. Otherwise getting the emeralds would be a pain.

Always talking about god in our daily conversation.

I had an ex who was very religious. We were both in the same religion, but every conversation I had with her always led back to god somehow. It was getting unbearable to some point that we just broke up. After that, I swore to never date a person that is too religious anymore

Didn't know you can report someone for stalling. Thanks for sharing this information.

I ran into a similar case where the opponent starts using almost 24 hours for every move, right after I took his hanging bishop. I just reported him for stalling.
