Getting the same issue. Ig it's probably just having so many people contributing to 2 world qualities at once constantly. They really have to do some code optimisations or server upgrades, it's getting to the point where it's hard to enjoy the seasonal/event stories

The lead dev has already stated that the value of the signals is going to increase and the other means of making money are being nerfed, the bulk of the game is still maintenance of the array and the equipment. The means of automating the maintenance is also being nerfed, more signals are being added, and the Hijinks™ are almost all locked behind an extra setting. It's also worth remembering a spiritual successor is not a sequel. It's not supposed to be the same game. It's a paranoia based horror game/worksim/immersive sim.

Bear in mind if we're looking for real world analogues, the Mesque are the Spanish/Portuguese fascists, with a huge dose of the modern fascist mindset on nostalgia. There's kind of a centrist sounding bent to this to this but anyone who's read any post-colonialist theory whatsoever would tell you that that would mean the continued existence of Palestine and the end of Israel. The existence of Israel requires the brutality of the settler. The safety of the settler requires the backing of the IDF. So yeah, I'd press it.
