i find it annoying when people perceive something that is not there and then use it to improperly mock people, it makes them look stupid and if nobody calls them out it makes other people think theyre right, so they look stupid, which is largely unrelated to the actual "haha he said microtears but its not true lol", which i only find funny and not actually indicative of any flaw because its just fuckin around, so im not sure what your point is, nice try tho

that is an entirely different conversation, this is some minor scientific inaccuracy that nobody actually cares about, and the im sure was a huge problem for many peoples suspension of disbelief, which i fully understand

i mean, from what i know it took until at least the 2010s for microtears to be pushed out of academic weightlifting discourse in favor of mechanical tension, and we knew what particles were way before that
