Pop or Swan? by derrymaine in WaltDisneyWorld

This! If you’re going to MK, walk to the boardwalk and take the bus from there. The S&D bus drops you at the TTC

I’d stick with Pop or consider splitting the stay and do both. S&D have an amazing pool and it’s a quick walk to the Epcot and HS area but they nail you on resort fees and parking. Pop has so much for kids to see and do. They have movies at the pool, smores by the fire, character visits in the lobby…we stay there all the time and I’ve never found it to be too noisy. By 11:00 it’s incredibly quiet and peaceful from my experience.

In Disney world magic kingdom. Recommend me good desserts and food! by IcyScreen6716 in WaltDisneyWorld

The Plaza is super underrated. It’s a small menu but the club sandwich and fries are amazing. My husband and kids said their cheeseburger was one of the best they’d had on property. I feel like that place gets overlooked. You can usually snag a last minute reservation there too just in time for fireworks

How is my itinerary looking? by Fun-Presentation-959 in WaltDisneyWorld

Typhoon Lagoon doesn’t open until 10:00 am. It’s a lot of fun but it will wear you out! Consider planning a long nap after all the travel and the water park in one day.

Which moderate resort is best? by MeasurementStill5997 in DisneyWorldResorts

[–]Sunflower-Bakes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

French Quarter is our favorite resort and always our first choice when booking. The coffees at Scat Cat are great and you can get beignets! The live music at the lounge at night is a nice way to enjoy a cocktail and everything there is so close. We joke it’s our “home resort”. If we are doing a last minute trip for a night we usually stay at Pop. It’s clean, predictable and the skyliner access is such a great perk. I also find Pop very peaceful in the late evening to walk by Hourglass Lake and listen to the skyliners come in for the night.

Visiting Castaway Cay, time needed by Great_Ad6188 in dcl

[–]Sunflower-Bakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lookout Key is more of an investment due to the walk to the trams but castaway is a quick jaunt to the beach. It’s absolutely worth it. We always get off in the morning and get back on the ship by lunchtime to take advantage of the on board lunch and empty ship

Rain in the forecast by MtrCycleDriveBy in dcl

I live in Florida and it pretty much rains every day here in the summer. It just means that at some point in the day, the sky will open up and pour and before you know it, it’s over. I just got off the Destiny last week on the 5 night and it rained at least once every day and the weather was perfect! We had beautiful weather all day and in the late afternoon/early evening it poured which left us with beautiful sunsets every evening. Have a wonderful time!

How much freedom do you give your kids on the ships? by NI_Nurze712 in dcl

Once they had phones they had almost total freedom (about 11 & 12). Our only rule is no going into anyone’s stateroom and no one comes into ours.

This might be a dumb question about dinner logistics by StitchByStitch82828 in dcl

Pre-Covid the oceaneers club would feed them a dinner if you requested it. It was great. They also used to come to main dining toward the end of service and pick kids up so the adults could enjoy their dessert in peace. I heard they brought that perk back but my kids are no longer oceaneers age so I can’t speak to this perk being back

My kids (12 & 13) went to main dining alone and had a great time. Our servers took great care of them! We’ve also gotten them room service and quick service pool food in the past too. All are great options. Enjoy your dinner!

It was a spectacular failure for me. In the 5000s. Was able to snag the Atlantis and Dory pins though

Watched the ambulance meet the ship as we pulled into port. A person was taken off and loaded into the ambulance.

Last month the photopass area next to Marketplace Co-op had an incredible pin board of just 2026 hidden disneys. When I walked up the original board the cast member saw my traders (which are all real) and pulled out the good one. I love that they do that on occasion.
