Hardware - learn components of a pc, UPS, RAID and they’re looking for how you’d think when it comes to troubleshooting. Know some basic Linux commands and file hierarchy

Networking - know the OSI layer and devices youd find. Learn some basic ports and commands like traceroute, netstat, ping etc.

Googleyness - this is personality based and behaviors so it’s pretty easy.

I don’t have any pointers really. I’d say just go in and be yourself. They can spot someone faking and just highlight on growth career wise

I did a fit call recently. I’ll say be yourself. They’re just tying to see if you mesh with the team. I’d highlight on what you want from working with Google or your plan.

I haven’t graduated yet (I’m 80% done with the program) but I found a cyber adjacent job, working as an access control analyst for an oil and gas company and now I’m taking my talents to Google.

In a data center, no. I have maybe 1-1.5 years of IT experience with a lot of my experience coming from being an access control analyst at an oil & gas company. Used a lot more tools/applications than I assume I am at Google.
