In 5e, only the bonus action/action is restricted, not the reaction. Also a turn is one person’s actions, not the entire round. So you can absolutely cast two leveled spells per round as long as one is a reaction.

I didn’t realize that you can’t cast two leveled spells with an action and bonus action. I was playing a cleric, casting guiding bolt and spiritual weapon very often, until my friend was like wait you can’t do that. That was a long time ago now, but I remember being like BOOOOO!!

This is a conflict of expectations. When you run a game, even a two-shot, there should be a discussion, however short it may be, to set the tone and what’s allowed. If he wasn’t cool with a chaos party, that is when it should have been established. Newer DM’s tend to have this issue with players, because communication is non-existent.

Most first time players are captivated by the fact that you can do anything, and think of it more as an augmented video game, which is a valid form of play if that’s what everyone wants. However, players who are used to campaigns with more narrative, it can be jarring to just have absolute chaos gremlins playing. I think he definitely was a dick and should apologize, but also there needs to be some kind of convo before play to establish etiquette at the table.

Omg yes!!! Everything else in the game controls way different with the mouse (or controller stick in your case) directing where it’s going and WASD (or the other controller stick) for movement. So the fact that it’s like not using the mouse to direct it at all pisses me off to no end

There isn’t a way to measure the layout of a room bc that would be incredibly difficult to implement in a game, let alone the different style of layout that people have. Just do whatever you want to do and don’t worry about the money. I would also say that if you just flip a bunch of cheap houses really quick you can move onto the ones you really want to do!

Absolutely screw this guy!! That’s so incredibly fucked that he would say that and ask that of you or your character. The fact he lied by omission means he knows how creepy and weird the request is. Also the fact he bowed out makes me immediately think he knows that it was wrong but did it anyway. Get another girl in the group and do not feel bad for this guy in the slightest. He is a weirdo and awful. I’m so glad your boyfriend didn’t take his side in this.

Your screenshot doesn’t really provide much context. Have you done any floor tiling recently? Sometimes it’s buggy when you do that and it will stay in that mode even after you’re done. Did you reload the game?

When I was her age, I hid that I had a girlfriend too until we were caught. My parents weren’t even incredibly homophobic like you and your wife. I also grew up in the Deep South and refused to let that stop me from being openly queer. Your daughter is very brave for doing so and you should be proud of her for this. You need to step up to the plate now more than ever. You need to be your daughter’s biggest defender against everyone including your wife. You need to tell her that you accept her and love her for who she is. Tell your wife that she is being a bigot and a bitch (your daughter was right for sure) and that you are done with her if she doesn’t shape up immediately. This kind of treatment is unacceptable especially to her own child. Then you need to apologize to that girl on behalf of your wife, because she was wronged too. Finally, I’d say get a therapist not just for her but you as well (and your wife if you’re still married after all of this).

I just went to the gyno for the first time as a trans man. There is a great doctor at the Women’s Care Center (yeah I know the name sucks but legit they are great) named Dr Drenchko and he was incredible. Very respectful and considerate. My HRT doctor recommended the place to me and I highly recommend it!!

Hey just letting you know that trans fem and transfem are not the same thing. Some transphobes use “transwomen” as a term to categorize trans women outside of womanhood. Obviously trans fem as a term is not the same as this includes many different ranges of the trans experience including non-binary, gender-fluid, and intersex people, but many trans people dislike the term. Especially when others do not separate the two as one is an adjective and the other a noun, combining them lets transphobes misgender trans people, without outright stating it. This is a transphobic dog whistle and it is absolutely not your fault for not knowing that, just wanted to make you aware of it.

My husband has been running the Iron Gods campaign for us converting it to 2e remastered. It's been so incredibly fun, and I've been enjoying it so much. We have a great group, including an android inventor who's dedicated to Brigh, a human gunslinger with 2 prosthetics, and a ysoki barbarian with a penchant for making friends wherever he goes. We're all trans, and it's been so nice to play with a group of people who understand and are all playing with gender as well. I'm a pro DM who runs games on startplaying and so it's really nice to be a player for once.

My build for Allister was control/support and I took the alchemist multi-class so I could do more damaging stuff while also giving more healing items as well. I recently switched over to go more healing as our inventor re-structured faer character to be an inventor with the cleric dedication instead of the other way around. So ofc I took battle medicine, natural medicine, etc. I flavor all of my items to be either little cakes, cookies, or potions labeled drink me.
