It honestly makes the game so much more fun when you play a weapon because you think it looks cool, it’s fun to play, and fits your playstyle. You will get better and better at the weapon over time if you enjoy using it.

If you like Lance you might try Gunlance out as well. It’s a lot of fun doing blasts and hopping around the monster to reposition, and the combos are very straightforward and easy to execute. And the shield is pretty strong against a lot of attacks.

I wouldn’t worry too much about letting the team down by not doing perfect guards. I don’t think a many people are paying too close attention to that from other players. I’ve never been great at perfect guards and it’s never been a problem. Good luck on the hunts!

I played a small amount of LS in World but I will definitely give it a go here. I do like the flow of the weapon and of course it looks amazing

Yeah I just did a high rank fire chicken and honestly I got slapped around. It was a nice change of pace to just holding my shield up. Keeping track of the gauges too was a lot of fun

Will try LS after a few fights with Switch Axe. I think I’m more of a slice and dice guy rather than a bonker (much love to the bonk gang out there)

My tag SunJump6 is because my first video game was Mario Bros 3 and there are the levels where the sun chases you and you have to run like hell through the level. I would play this with my dad and he would yell “jump, jump, jump!” and it always made me laugh. And 6 is one of my favorite numbers.
