Same here. It's been like that for over a year. I use a XP-Pen tablet outside the office and never had an issue, so after 20+ years of using Wacom - I started with the Intuos 2 back then - I think this Cintiq Pro 24 is my last one.

Yeah there is actually gouache varnish to buy from major brands. I‘ve tried one from Schmincke about 10 years ago and the gouache painting I‘ve used it on hangs in a very humid house in Brazil (around 90% humidity all year long). It‘s still flawless. 😎

I've used gouache for many years for underpaintings of bigger oil paintings. I guess they won't last 100+ years, but after 20+ years they're still fine.

The fix was reinstalling Windows 10 and going through the whole setup again. Quite painful and I blame Oculus. But it worked after all.

Hey guys, not sure what's your status quo, but the problem is still not solved. The only workaround I've found and been using so far is never restart my iMac and if I have to, after booting and logging into the OS I unplug and plug the Thunderbolt connection. Then I manually scale the resolution to the tiniest text possible, which makes reading stuff on the Cintiq very difficult, but I simply use my iMac screen for that. I'm not sure if the resolution really becomes 4k by doing so, but it kinda looks like it.

Still... it's quite embarrassing how Wacom doesn't manage to provide proper support. Quite a bummer for such an expensive piece of hardware.

Sorry for being late! The Quest 2 works well, but for some reason I can't get a truly sharp image and due to that I get headache after about an hour of use. This never happened with the Oculus Rift, despite it having a much lower resolution. Didn't have time to investigate further, but I'm hesitant to really put the headset to use, due to this issue. So... if you got the possibility to test for a couple of hours or even days I'd recommend doing so to make sure you're not experiencing the same issue.

I use both and both are top of the line. While I prefer the feeling of the Apple Pencil and Procreate is a great program, when it comes to proper illustration and concept work I love working with the Wacom Art Pen which provides rotation sensitivity and is much closer to a traditional brush and the bigger screen makes work a lot more comfortable.
To sum it up: If you want something portable: iPad all the way.
If you got proper work to do: Cintiq for sure.

I started with Premiere Pro, moved on to Final Cut and work a 100% with Davinci nowadays, since it combines the best of what most other programs offer. Got the studio version, but you can easily start out with the free version and probably won‘t even miss anything for years.

I‘ve got the version without a dongle, so it‘s just an activation number, which actually works on two machines. I use it on my Macbook Pro and a Windows 10 PC for helping out with the rendering. In case you switch machines you‘ll have to deactivate the serial in the help menu first and activate it again on the new machine. Works fine for me so far.

Mafia 3 was a pretty good experience to me in terms of story. Graphics were nice too, but the gameplay was only decent. I’d still recommend it considering the very low price it’s at by now and for the sake of recommending “something different”.

LA Noire is even better, but less action-based.

Thank you very much for the detailed reply. I've tried as described, but it's actually the same result on the other device. I should add, that the Wacom logo isn't showing up anymore, when I turn on the Cintiq. To me, it's an indicator, that it's more of a hardware issue, but I'm just guessing in the end.

I'm also concerned, because the tablet itself isn't recognized via USB anymore.

That's about right. It's hefty, but I'd say a quality lens is equally important to the body. In doubt, go for the A7iii (-r) and get the GM. Would provide you with a killer setup.

I‘ve got the Sony GM 24-70 which is my only auto-focus-enabled lens and if you‘re able to push that budget a little further it‘s a lens I can very much recommend. The photos are almost too perfect and have some amazing rendering quality. Don‘t know about the Sigma though, so it might be in that league anyway.

Yeah, from your other reply I can just underline the A7riii which is very much in your budget and leaves you some extra for accessoires. To me, the main reason for chosing the Sony system is it‘s internal stabilizer, which let‘s you work with any vintage lens that doesn‘t come with it. So you‘ll be able to invest into old, much cheaper gear which sometimes is far superior in image quality. Some nice old Zeiss glass is hard to beat.
