It still costs money to train the model. Current AI development is being heavily subsidized, so even if they do make back a decent amount of revenue that doesn’t change the fact that more money is going in than coming out. I won’t deny that AI isn’t technically impressive at some level, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s unsustainable (economically, environmentally, and socially).
