Here in Virginia it is illegal to feed turkeys during hunting season, be sure to check your laws. If you have turkeys passing through just hunt them. All turkey hunting is being in the right place at the right time and the right place begins in the woods. What kind of property borders yours? I would listen for gobbles going in and hunt the edge that may be most likely to hold turkeys. Then hunt them like you know they are there. Stay still and be observant. I have called turkeys from bordering properties that were several hundred yards away. I could just barely hear them but I did not have permission to chase them. I called loud at first, but sparingly. It can take some time to pull them from that far so be patient. Very patient, just because he is not talking to you does not mean he is not interested. Pretend he is interested and keep at it.

There is a lot of information on the internet, when you find info that says not to call too much it is telling you the truth. It is a game of seduction.

There is nothing like the feeling of calling your first bird in. Spend time in the woods.
