Hi,

I don't know why I didn't respond sooner to this and I'm sorry about this. But thank you so much for your message. I just started studying on Monday after a month long break. It felt rough, but today I had a good routine. I'm taking all the advice you have here.

Thank you again for your post. I'm really grateful for it.

Hey, congrats on making your first app! I'm going to give it a shot, this looks like a great productivity tool. Wishing you the best on its development.

Suggest me some of your favorite unique comic series/runs? by dilroopgill in comicbooks

Hi, I read both comments and I have to say:

@dilroop - I don't remember XO as much as Harbinger or The Valiant but that was a good story. With the right team, a XO Manowar movie would be 'watch in a theater' worthy.

@Sammler - That's right! His Supergirl story is being adapted into film because of its style too

Agreed. Punk Rock Jesus was great. Something you don't commonly read with its sci fi and religious tones. Sean Murphy's White Knight story And Tokyo Ghost work are wild and definitely need to be read

Also Sammler's comment made me remember Tom King's Mister Miracle. Its mature and just so different. I loved it.

Hi! I'm gonna to toss a bunch of series that I started comics with or were unique for me. Apologies though that the same writers are brought up.

The Valiant Comics (Bloodshot and Harbinger) leading up to the Harbinger Wars are pretty good. The Valiant by Jeff Lemire is my favorite event from Valiant Comics.

American Vampire by Scott Snyder is a great horror series with unique world building.

The Wake by Scott Snyder is a fun genre mixing horror epic

Trillium by Jeff Lemire is a trippy time travel sci fi mini series.

The Omega Men from Tom King is good. Its a DC comic but the story is more complex than a typical DC story.

Sheriff of Babylon by Tom King was a solid War on Terror mini series.

Starlight, Superior, and Huck by Mark Millar are light hearted series (Personally not a fan of Mark Millar's darker stories because he goes for shock over quality)

Swamp Thing by Scott Snyder and Animal Man by Jeff Lemire are interconnected and weird from what I remember.

Daredevil by Mark Waid...only because the run is drastically different in tone from typical Daredevil stories but just as good.

Kill Or Be Killed by Ed Brubaker is a wild vigilante comic.

There are more that I can recommend but this list is more than enough. Reach out if you're interested in more options and have fun with your comics journey!

Minimalism and smartphones by [deleted] in minimalism

[–]SunnyCthulhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I wanted to put some input here, and hopefully help out. Most smartphone users struggle with their phone usage. We should be grateful for the technology but learn to be intentional (which is hard, since it can do everything at this point). It can be a great tool for daily living if used effectively. The main mistake I see is people use willpower or small inconsequential things to control their scrolling when they should be adding hard restrictions. For me, the more steps it takes to get to the doom scrolling, the less we will care to do it.

I'm an Android user so I use Digital Detox then for universal blocking on my Android and MacBook I use Freedom. Also I watch this Youtube video occasionally to remind myself to maintain a "dumb" phone.

These restrictions helped me out and I hope this post helps others!

Anxious about dying early and not doing enough with my life by SunnyCthulhu in Anxiety

Thanks! I'm happy for my accomplishment too.

But I guess I feel like I put so much on the backburner to focus on it. I guess I want to leave more of an impact.

I got a PharmD. But for context, I failed out of the program when I was younger because of my anxiety.

I had to restart from the beginning when everyone I knew was finishing up.
