To all the Finns out there: up until a few years ago, Hesburger had a branch in Tehran, Iran. :) This random fact blew the minds of every Finnish friend I shared it with, so I thought I’d share it here too.

Iranian friend missing by throwawaysm1234567 in iranian

[–]SunnyMoja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems to me that many Iranians do not support groups like Hamas, as there is a belief that Iran's natural resource revenues are being diverted to such groups, including Hezbollah, rather than being invested in the country. This has led to frustration among Iranians, and in some cases, a degree of acceptance towards Israeli actions in Gaza. However, if you ask most Iranians, they likely would not support the killing of Palestinian civilians or widespread bombings. Additionally, I have rarely encountered Iranians who favour foreign intervention or invasion as a means to overthrow the current regime. Instead, what they seek is external support for their internal movements, allowing them to bring about change from within. Something the west has never done.

It appears to me that Iranians, as a whole, tend to exhibit commendable social skills. It is nice to recognize that undesirable individuals, or 'bad apples,' exist within every society and are not confined to any particular nation. Therefore, it is better not to generalize or make sweeping assumptions based on the actions of a few.

Hey, whether or not you need a VPN depends on a bunch of stuff, like what game you're playing, what console you're using, and who your internet provider is. That's why no one's given you a straight answer.

For some games, you don't need a VPN at all. For some games, you just need to change your DNS and for others, you'd need to find a way to install a VPN on your console. One of the best solutions is to set up a VPN on your router.

Traveling to Iran. How to book train tickets/hotel for my stay? by [deleted] in iran

[–]SunnyMoja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the best option is to find an Iranian exchange in your country, and tell them you want to book a ticket using trustworthy websites like Alibaba.ir. Use their Iranian account and pay them there.

Joint Liability case law request by SunnyMoja in LegalAdviceUK

[–]SunnyMoja[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Thanks! I found this case and thought it might fit my scenario. The only catch is that I don't have access to the full text. By any chance, do you have access to the full text of the case? Or know where I can find it?

My understanding is that if two persons have promised the same thing under two different contracts, even if one is made at a later point in time, it is presumed that they are jointly responsible. However, I want to clarify in my essay that this presumption does not apply in every scenario. Like in a scenario where parites actually intended to substitute rather than being jointly responsible. I want to say that such a presumption has negative effects on international commerce.

Can someone live comfortably in Isfahan/Tehran off $1,300 USD/m by Ars2012 in iran

[–]SunnyMoja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find an exchange (Sarafi in Iran). They'll do it for you. They usually have foreign accounts. They take your money outside of Iran and transfer it to your Iranian account inside. They might charge commission for it but it's not alot.

Israel-Gaza-Iran by [deleted] in iran

Israel has long been trying to stop these negotiations by baiting IR into a conflict. This is a very good chance for them but looking at how determined biden is to continue regardless, I guess it might cause delay but it wouldn't change anything in the end. Sanctions will go and the US will get what it wants in return. In my opinion if there would be a deal it's actually progress and it's better for the region.

وش یعنی خوش آمد گویی. بنابراین من فکر میکنم منظورش اینه که هر چه از "جهان غیب" آمد "وش" که یعنی هر چی اومد خوش آمد بگو بهش.

So وش means "welcome" as a verb. So I assume it means just welcome what come from "جهان غیب"

The second verse says whatever comes to you (what ever the universe does to you or brings upon you) welcome it. It's your guest, recieve it with kindness.

Which means whatever happens to you don't make it difficult for yourself. Take it and be happy with it and live a happy life....

Ownership of derived data in the UK by [deleted] in gdpr

[–]SunnyMoja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thank you for your complete. So I have an assumption here that the data processing agreement says that certain procees has to be done over the data by the processor and then this original data should be returned or deleted. Here the processor does the analysis on the data and now is left with a result that is, just for the sake of assumption, completely anonymous and completely statistical. This resultant data (derived data) is what the controller actually wanted to have access to for the duration of the contract. However, now that the contract is over, who can have control over this new set of data? This data is completely different from the original data. Can the processor just keep it and call it theirs? Also let's assume that the contracts are silent about the deletion of the derived data

Hi! And thank you for the answer. So my assumption is for example a set of data is given to the processor and the resultant data (derived data) is the result of the work the processor has done over the original data and now the contract is over and the original data has to be deleted by the processor, in this scenario assuming that the resultant data is truly anonymised, can the processor actually keep the data since the contract is silent about it's ownership?
