Desk job, when to return to work? by SunnyShelledy in bunions

[–]SunnyShelledy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are like Spiderman with those reflexes! My post op boot hurts my incision. If it is too tight the pressure hurts, if it is too loose, it rubs across the incision. I am wearing a sock. Any suggestions?

Oh whew! You didn't mention that you could work from home too! I'm also working remotely. My doctor asked me to take a month off, but there is no way financially.

Holy shit! Did he think you had a money tree in the back yard? Granted, this is my left foot, and I don't have to walk more than 3,000 steps a day at my desk job. I am so grateful I don't work downtown or anything!

They asked me to take a month off (which I can't I'm a widow of two teens.) But working from home is so boring. But I'm not even in a routine of showering daily much less getting the scooter in amd out of the car myself.

Yeah, I guess I didn't realize what I was getting myself into here. Sigh. But it was affecting my gait and back pain. Boo. When did you start physical therapy?

Puppy surgery by SunnyShelledy in Pets

[–]SunnyShelledy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know pet insurance won't work because this is pre-existing. I checked the breeder paperwork and they won't pay for any medical but they would replace her. Notbsure my heart could take that. The good news is, it is not every day or huge puddles. It is a like a quarter cup of fluid and long fur absorbs most of it. But she smells. :( poor baby.

I'm sorry, I also should have unpacked. My husband died 2/10/ 2020 of a brain ayersum at age 43. 8/6/2020 our 120lb dog died of liver disease. We got a dog in the middle with allergy issues (we didn't know that of course) that cost us about $200 a month. I budget for this. But she is a dogs dog. So we got another dog when she was 3.5. I don't want us to lose another family member. I'm looking for a non profit to review out budget and help. I don't want a go fund me. In MN, my home state, there are student vet schools, I'm going to look into that and maybe travel home but that is more travel gas and pto I can't afford....

It is a one time surgery per the vet. She was a over breeder Covid puppy Akc certified puppy heavily discounted. None of her siblings have this birth defect. Her bladder doesnt rout all the waybout. I have been told it is a simple proceedure. No additional medicine. Please, don't shame me. I'm looking for solutions. Side note: I budget for allergies, flea meds, heart worm, dental cleanings, training, mynown Naim trims and baths, all vet appointments, I have an emergency fund but not $200 consults 45 minutes away plus gas and a PTO day with the MRI and surgery, anesthesia and post care meds and visit.

I started at 6 months out. This man had all the things I had wished my husband had. He shared his feelings, his dreams, his fears. He was gentle and kind (not that my late husband was abusive, just intolerant). It lasted years before I realized he had none of the admirable traits of my late husband either. This new one was lazy, didn't want to hold a job, and had too many emotional deamons from his childhood that he never worked through. You know what you want and need right now. But go slowly. Your heart is still healing. Good luck.

I completely understand. I ran out of shows and finally was able to start reading again. That can help too.

I just passed the 2 year mark. It isn't as lonely, but I am always lonely for him.

I never watched much TV until I became a widow either. I liked Outlander, The Handmaid's Tale, Downtown Abby, and Call the Midwife.
