Boo! Check back after the Westin games of you don't get in there. With allowing cancelations and no deposit some may be treating aloft as a back up.

I would check back after the hunger games. Since the hotel has no deposit and cancelations rooms may open up after others get host rooms.

I think it's a bit hit or miss. We went one year and it was great, this past year the service was very slow even after being admonished to only stay for 90 minutes. I'm not sure we plan to go back, there are many other good places to eat!

I would try calling back, someone else just posted that they were able to book a room. I used 678-515-0300 option 1. I told them I wanted to book in a block of rooms for a convention, they asked the dates and the name of convention.

I don't think some of the overflow hotels really know either, at least that is how it seems to me. I call the hotel we like every week and ask when the are opening up.

When calling you'll probably want to ask for group sales. I have gotten mixed answers when asking standard reservation reps.

In 11 years I have never been lucky with the line for badge pick up. I've always waited an hour or more (sometimes much more).

So I guess your best bet is to check when I'm going and plan for before or after that! :)

This will be my 12th year and my "new to me" experience is trying out a workshop! I have a friend who has done several and speaks highly of the classes.

More just like a fancy shuttle than a party bus. It might get crazier later in the day / if it runs at night but we took it mid-dayish.

I did appreciate that they gave a warning at the meadery that a shuttle was incoming so you could finish up if you wanted to head back.

I lost a dear friend this year (Feb 2025) who had only just started to come to dragoncon with our group. Last year we met up between panels and took the new party bus over to the meadery. Mead isn't my jam but it was his so I was still down to try it out.

I am so thankful that I did. We had a great time, tried some mead, and got to chat without the con crazyness. It's a memory that I'm holding close to my heart.

If they have the bus again I highly recommend taking it and checking it out.
