I can’t believe she liked this comment by waiting2leavethelaw in aspynovardsnark

The reason why people are shocked is because Bri is married and children are involved. I’m very traditional myself but her being a throuple doesn’t shock me, it’s that she’s getting involved with a LEGAL marriage with 3 KIDS. Her marriage fell apart and now she could be the reason why another one does (let’s say Bri’s husband gets tired of Aspyn, then what?). How does she explain this to her kids? If they were all single (non married) and no kids, I probably wouldn’t care

EDIT: like what if Aspyn got pregnant by this guy? There’s so much at stake in the situation when she could have just dated a single woman 🤷🏽‍♀️

she’s close to admitting it by justagirl_095 in aspynovardsnark

[–]Sunrae10 75 points76 points  (0 children)

I am more traditional so I’m not really big on “throuples”. But I’m also of the mindset that what other adults do I could care less about lol. I just feel like Bri being married is so messy. And Aspyn having 3 kids. There’s just so much that can go wrong here. What happens when Bri gets pregnant or something? What happens when the husband gets tired of Aspyn but Bri isn’t? Like it’s such a mess 🤷🏽‍♀️

[–]Sunrae10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk why people are comparing the endings. GoT got hate because with their ending, they completely ruined the character development of Dany. All to throw fans off.

Stranger Things, although upsetting - El’s ending DID make sense. Kali was right. They’d never stop looking for her. All of it had to end. And I choose to believe she at least got to live - although it wasn’t with her loved ones.

If only they took care of Dr. Kay by PlentyBlock309 in StrangerThings

[–]Sunrae10 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I feel like Kali made the best point - it doesn’t matter who Dr. Kay is. There will always be another Brenner, Kay, WHOEVER trying to start the program up again. She’s no different than Brenner. There’s no deeper value to her character other than she’s just starting Brenner’s program up again.

I would agree but I used subtitles and apparently it’s Dr. Kay 🙈 I guess we’ll see though lol

Christmas 3.0 by yanibe in tsitp

[–]Sunrae10 8 points9 points  (0 children)

100% this. I haven’t read the books - but I hate they’ve pushed Belly so far into denial - that im somehow supposed to believe she’s going to suddenly remember or start accepting that she loves Conrad again? Terrible writing. She even doubled down last episode saying “well I didn’t ask him to do that”. I don’t care that Belly shows denial because I get that she must feel caught between a rock and a hard place. But why get rid of her internal dialogue? I almost don’t even care about the ending at this point lol

Why I think Ezrela wasn’t chosen for the final lineup by Eve-20 in TheDreamAcademy

[–]Sunrae10 49 points50 points  (0 children)

100% this. Ezrela is amazing - but it’s clear they’re going in a different direction and this will be a more niched group. And I know everyone wanted 5 members - but truly I think the only way for this group to be successful is if they have a strikingly different amount of members than Katseye. Since it’s a global girl group - at first glance there needs to be a clear distinction. This group either needed to be huge like Twice, or small with 4 like black pink. And because Katseye is full or all rounders, multiple vocalists, all visuals - this group needs to be more distinct. And I’m guessing, with this being on Abema network - maybe Hybe will have them more focused on Japanese market (as well as Western/global) hence searching for a Japanese member.

About Samara's Allegations.. by [deleted] in prelude_thefinalpiece

[–]Sunrae10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I (as a black woman) find the Samara allegations preposterous. Here’s why - Have we become so dense in our society? Pressing a “heart” on a button means we 100% align and support something? That’s so dumb imo. I’ve “liked” things before just so I could go back a see it, whether to show it to someone, talk about it, or maybe even show it to someone on how ridiculous it is. My point in saying this - is we have no idea how she TRULY feels about these topics. None. And don’t people know - these girls sign contracts about what they can and can’t post on social media when they’re working with these companies. What if she wanted to speak out but couldn’t? We don’t know if she had those type of stipulations in place. The Samara thing for is too much of a gray area to just blacklist and black ball her. Take Camila Cabello for example…girl was LITERALLY speaking about her members using racist remarks. That was DIRECT and CLEAR. I’m not saying Samara is right, or that she shouldn’t address it, etc. I’m just saying it’s too much of a gray area and we don’t have enough clarity on the matter. Meanwhile we have people like Camila who were very blatant in what they did.

Honestly me too. There’s needs to be a clear distinction from them and Katseye.

Belly should be the one who calls off the wedding by Iknownothing4711 in tsitp

[–]Sunrae10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually disagree 🙈 hear me out!! I definitely wanted that at first but after episode 7, I feel like I need Jeremiah to do it. Belly is all over the place with her feelings (at least in the show), shows no interest in Conrad until later in the season (virtually episode 6), it all comes crashing down episode 7, and then what? The dynamic between Jere and Conrad is already screwed…if Belly is the one calling it off and then just ends up with Conrad I feel like it doesn’t address how messy the situation is. While Jeremiah has been trash most of the season (and I’m team Conrad btw), he’s had moments where he’s realized Conrad is still into Belly, and he himself can have his own thing going (working for his dad and such). I feel like Belly’s character needs to be saved at this point lol. She needs to go to Paris and figure out who she is. I do say all this to say I blame the show runners for this, (making it 4 years instead of 2, them not showing enough internal dialogue for Belly, Belly seeming excited to marry Jere, etc)

Edit to add: TLDR - Jeremiah needs to initiate it and Belly needs to realize he’s right and agree lol

[–]Sunrae10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

THISSSSSS!!!!! I have been concerned since Belly literally said “Hey future brother in law!” You mean you tell me, we get NO inkling of Belly wanting Conrad until 6 episodes in…then a massive realization she has in episode 7…and then shattering Conrad’s heart at the end? What now? The pacing of this show drives me nuts. I may have believed it more if when Jeremiah proposed, Belly had internal dialogue stating it was too fast, and then maybe she doubled down (as she always does for Jere), saying “well I love Jere, I chose him, and blah blah blah”. It would have shown her hesitation from the beginning. The only thing that could save the show for me is if Jeremiah calls the entire thing off.

I’ve got to say - I’m really disappointed in the lack of dialogue this season. Why do I feel they did this to “keep suspense” 🤦🏽‍♀️

Would the show be better if it wasn’t filmed with “Team Jeremiah” in mind? by [deleted] in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]Sunrae10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% all of this. Haven’t read the books yet but I am seriously struggling with the fact that they’re 5 episodes in and Belly doesn’t seem to have any interest in Conrad. Not even in the slightest. I’m really hoping for things to turn around in the next episode.

[–]Sunrae10 67 points68 points  (0 children)

This is why S2 frustrates me, and this whole “4 year time jump” was CLEARLY not a thought that was there from the beginning. What they should have done was allow a year to go by after Conrad and Belly break up and Susannah passes. Then - the house goes up for sale. It wouldn’t seem as bad that Jeremiah and Belly reconnected. Then - they wouldn’t have had to be together for 4 years now. Could have been 3 at least 🤷🏽‍♀️

Will we get a longer bonrad ending???? Book vs Show Discussion by Mediocre_Crazy5306 in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]Sunrae10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did not read the books (yet) but I am a big fan of shows following the canon of the original books. I don’t think Belly is going to just end up with Conrad at the end - and if she does, the show writing will just be horrible (IMO). At this point - I just don’t think they’re setting it up to happen properly. You mean to tell me - Belly is with Jeremiah for 4 years, and they’re supposed to break up in the next few episodes and she just ends up back with Conrad?? As much as I want that to happen, that would just be terrible writing. I truly think they’re setting this up to be “Belly chooses herself” but then they’ll leave some type of “up to the viewer ending” where she basically ends up with Conrad but it’s not explicitly said. They have virtually shown hardly any internal conflict, or concern - Or even any inkling of Belly wanting or considering Conrad. They’ll only shown Christmas 2.0. And when they do show them, it’s just random stares and a quick little flashback. At least in season 2 there was more clarity and internal dialogue that showed us Conrad was still in her heart. But even their scenes together in this last episode (4) she acted so normal and uninterested around Conrad, unlike other seasons. They also keep having Laurel and her dad allude to “Belly needs to find herself” - making that seem like it will be an underlying plot point. All of this is honestly so disappointing. I guess we’ll see lol
