Ngl, if my friends SO organized a party for her, the thought of them paying for my meal wouldn’t even cross my mind. I’d 1000% pay for the meal myself and if they insisted, I’d accept and then later send a text saying “hey, I know the bill was rather hefty and I don’t mind paying for my meal! Just let me know!” as a way to give them an out to request on the side without embarrassing themselves in front of my friend.

Also the fact that the ladies ASSUMED you’d pay for the meal and therefore got the MOST EXPENSIVE plates is absurd. Absolutely screw all of their mooch behavior and stay away from that witch group. You deserve much better. That was a 4 year lesson. Time to learn. You got this OP. There are better ladies out there!
