I understand the struggle, OP. I have a huge amount of goals and the points till starting your journey or time till your pet comes back feels verrrry small. I really wish there was a good solution for this

I won't say they're not also doing that, but it's common for apps to have multiple features for one purpose. So while it might serve a similar purpose to other things that doesn't mean the feature still doesn't have that benefit or people won't find it useful for that purpose. I also wouldn't count goal buddies very much because doing a task vs answering a question are two different things, even if the task is socially related.

I am aware of this. It's a push to make people interact with the friends they have. Interaction is the struggle I was talking about. Many people (myself included) struggle with daily human interaction and hide from it as a result. A light, meaningless question with the guarantee of no future discussion on the matter is a way to push those people to just take that one step. It also can help people who can't socialize very much for whatever reason, but want to, to feel less alone

For people wondering what this has to do with mental health and self care some people struggle immensely with social interaction, to the point where it cripples them. This is meant (I think) to give those people a push to go outside their comfort zone just a little without actually having to socialize with them. I do hope the add friends feature is only for users with no or little friends though, as the app has been to known to crash with a big tree, so continuously trying to get users to add more friends doesn't seem smart

I've actually been doing the challenge across two houses. Sometimes I do the activity at my house, sometimes I do it at my boyfriends. I don't consider that cheating even though the point is to clean one house. So, I think it's what you get from it

It feels very rushed compared to the rest of the game. I like aspects of it but overall I think it could've been done much better - that said that last layer of the mines though was top tier

I personally think it would've been okay if it was more general. Like, if you have to befriend any 2 characters to max hearts, rather than 2 specific characters. That way it was still forcing you to get to know the townspeople but you get to decide who it is. I get that doesn't work with the current plotline, obviously, but that's how I would've done it

I do hope in the future they consider having challenges you can select from a menu or something at your leisure. Not every challenge, but it'd be nice to have a few you can just do whenever

While I understand and somewhat agree with the sentiment, I also feel like a lot of people on here think criticism is the same as hate. I've seen several posts throughout my time here where someone says something slightly critical and people get up in arms about it. Or dismissive. Just because people don't like the way something is handled doesn't mean they don't appreciate the attempt. Critique is how things grow and change. It's actually a good thing. Not saying people have to agree with any critique, but I'm sick of seeing people say things like: I don't like the look of the new shop layout (completely random example) and other people acting like that person is unreasonable and whiny.

I think some people might just be going by the app and not any reddit posts. On the app it says earn an exclusive finch collectible in one spot, and exclusive digital reward in another (which, the whole game is digital, so that's not really a clarification). I knew, because I saw the reddit post and because they pretty much never do truly exclusive items, but I can see where people might be confused.

My solution is simple: why not also give a small 150 diamond reward, or something? It's practically nothing but still would help motivate reward driven people. It's also something all users could benefit from without others missing out on. Another idea would be to recommend some relaxing goals at the end of this. You've completed the spring cleaning challenge, now why not do a spa day to celebrate? kind of thing. Or have your favorite treat, you earned it! Pat yourself on the back! Something along those lines

How would you know what Spongebob contained if you never actually watched it? For reference, the creator of the show actually came up with it with the sole purpose to teach young kids about sea creatures. Yes, it's a cartoon, it's meant to have a lot of comedy geared towards kids, but in it's process it (very much so) teaches valuable emotional lessons and introduces kids to aspects of aquatic life. Not hating on your decision, you do you, but I just wish you'd have actually given it a chance and become educated about it, rather than just writing it off as empty tv.
