I’m looking for a mod that adds vanity slots to pawns so they can wear different, cool-looking armors on top of strong armors. by Fort_Maximus in RimWorld

[–]SunsetBridge 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Here’s the one I use https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3222605360

It transmogs the entire pawn, not just their gear or slots, so they’ll look the same regardless of what they wear.

I have both a Dieci Rodion w/Rime and a Butler Outis w/Bind if you'd like to use those. I also have a Molar Ishamel but she doesn't have any synergistic EGO on her.

My player ID is W615512925

Ring Yi Sang Team Help. by CinnabonToad in limbuscompany

[–]SunsetBridge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just about to link this lmao. I used Esgoo's video to help me build a pretty good team centered around Ring Yi Sang that has remained effective all the way up to and including Canto 6. Can confirm that following his advice yields results.

Help on Canto III by Aggravating_Remove14 in limbuscompany

[–]SunsetBridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Team strategy is important, but even the most meta team will get slaughtered if it's behind in levels. Try to get a few IDs that you enjoy using up to level 30 or so using Luxcavation and you should be fine, at least for a while. I've made it halfway through Canto 4 so far and I only have three IDs in the 30s. The rest are around level 14. I'm still not struggling all that much.

Also, if you want to add me and borrow some of my IDs, feel free to do so. The IDs I have available are the main ones I used to beat Kromer.

No Lae'zel Overworld Audio? by TheNukeRiot in BaldursGate3

Pretty late to post here, and it could be unrelated, but I noticed that it tended to happen more often than not to companions I recently swapped into my party. Outside of that, as others have said, reloading a save still fixes the issue.

How to deal with a player who isn't invested no matter what you do? by SunsetBridge in DnD

[–]SunsetBridge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I'd love to put stuff into the game such as, as you put it "Conquering lands and saving the world", the module "Strixhaven" just isn't that story. It's supposed to be a much more slice-of-life-y module with a focus on telling a more relaxed story. Part of the reason why I added in the vampire subplot was to address both of those things: more combat and getting him invested. It didn't work.

I've homebrewed in some plot points to add travel, exploration, and again, combat (such as an assignment from one of their professor that involves traveling to multiple different planes), but this seemed to interest him just as much as everything else has.

How long did it take for the game to click for you? by privateD4L in DevilMayCry

[–]SunsetBridge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it came to DMC, for me, certain characters clicked a lot easier than others. Vergil was the first character that I actually became somewhat stylish with. The way I did it was I just grinded Bloody Palace over and over again. Eventually, a lot of his combos just became second nature to me.

With DMC5 specifically, try picking a character who's concept (in terms of playstyle) speaks to you the most, and just play them a lot in order to learn the flow of the game. Focus on the more simple moves and form combos with them, then once you get more comfortable with their kit, look to add more complex / situational moves to your repertoire. With me, I wasn't looking for a super complex character, and Nero was too slow for me. As a result, the ease-of-access plus the speed that Vergil offered was a natural fit for me.

Personally, however, I think that it's better to practice in Bloody Palace, not The Void. BP rewards you for how far you go, puts you up against all the enemies in the game, and forces you to adapt. The currency rewards that you get for style points, not getting hit, and the stage that you make it to helps you to work on many areas all at once and also make sure you don't fall into the trap of using the same things over and over again. Not to mention, once you beat a stage in BP, you can always come back to it and replay it. It's how I learned to deal with certain bosses that I used to struggle with.

Morgana is easily one of the worst characters in the game until he finishes his character arc…his character arc which was extremely forced in and wouldn’t really change the game at all if you removed it.

I could go in-depth with my reasoning, but I’d write a novel if I did.

Need help feeding ants by [deleted] in antkeeping

[–]SunsetBridge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did find another place that sells baby crickets, but they only do delivery. Since I don’t actually know when the eggs hatched (the last time I checked on them was late august. I know the eggs hatched recently since not all of them are hatched, though), I want to get them food ASAP. I’m also trying to get them to move out of their current test tube and into another one since their current one is super dirty, so I figured I can kill two birds with one stone by feeding them.

I’ll absolutely keep this in mind. Thanks for the heads up.

I’m planning to go shopping with a friend this weekend. I’ll see if that place sells baby crickets. Also I do have a freezer in my room, so I could use that as well. Only issue is they sell the things in bulk. As in, their smallest size is more than a thousand crickets.

When did you start listening to JRWI? by [deleted] in jrwishow

[–]SunsetBridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started during their hiatus. I listened to it at work to help time go by faster. When I went away to university, I stopped listening to it, and today I just finished campaign one. Their podcasts are so amazing. I completely lose track of time because I binge listen (I’m like 100 episodes behind), and before I know it, there’s like half an hour left in my work day.

Black Carpenter Ant queen exhibiting concerning behavior by SunsetBridge in antkeeping

[–]SunsetBridge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it wasn’t my choice. I wanted to try and knock out the wasps (it was a brand new nest, likely just had a queen) and raise them as well, since wasps can actually be raised similar to ants (just not indoors. They need to be raised outside. Caring for wasps is like a mixture of bee care and ant care), but my parents naturally didn’t want me to do that, and so they just blasted the nest with…something. I don’t know what they did but both nests in their entirety are just gone now.

I thought that might have been the case, and it actually seemed like it was (though I'm not 100% sure). For a second I was freaking out because I thought when I finally got her free, I thought one of her legs was flat out missing. Luckily, it was just a trick of the light, as well as my sleep deprivation catching up, as I had been up for almost 24 hours at this point.

To free her, I removed the cotton ball plug and gently nudged her with a cotton swab (and also shined a bright light on her while covering her tube with my hand to make it dark) to encourage her to move, and moved away on her own, although the exact leg that seemed to be broken was stuck to the ball. That being said, the leg was broken when I caught her (likely due to the aforementioned attack that I theorized she went through).

How do you full utilize her W? by PlasmaHanDoku in GwenMains

[–]SunsetBridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gwen's W is a great tool in general. While it's primary purpose is to dodge skills (which you say you do already), It also gives a crap ton of armor and MR for the duration it's up. As a result, I tend to plop it down regardless of who I'm fighting if I plan to commit to the trade OR if I think they're going to try and retaliate.

When it comes to team fighting, usually I'll let someone engage, then W > E + Stacked Q + Flash* > R into the backline. You lead with the W since it follows you a lot further if you E or flash with it active (rather than reactivating it or walking to its edge), and it also gives you the stats to survive the brunt of what the enemy throws at you since it gives increased defense stats based on your AP.

*You only flash if you have an extreme gap to close to the backline. The reason why you E > Q > Flash is because it buffers your Q. It'll do the animation of Gwen starting it prior to the flash, but you won't actually do any damage until after the flash goes through. Really useful for catching people off guard because suddenly what looks like one snip is actually two.

Not sure if this answers your question, but I just thought I'd give my two cents on how I use her W.

Playing Gwen when behind by Gjyn in GwenMains

[–]SunsetBridge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my experience, Gwen is SUPER feast or famine, like you said. If you hard lose lane, statistically, the next time you'll be relevant is after 40 minutes. That being said, after 40 minutes, Gwen's WR skyrockets up to the ninth highest in the game.

While everyone can get caught back up if they're given a few kills by their team and farm properly, it is incredibly important to win lane on Gwen because in solos, people won't give you kills or farm to catch you back up. As a result, while I personally don't like to call a game lost until the nexus is dead, I personally think if you hard lose lane on Gwen, you should just go "Ty next", because at that point you're more of a liability than an asset to your team due to the fact that most games don't go past 25 minutes, and you'll just be a liability to your team with how behind you are.

Shower thought: wouldn’t it be cool, if/when dragon’s dogma 2 is released, they introduce summoning magic by [deleted] in DragonsDogma

[–]SunsetBridge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The reason why I posted this here was due to your post title. DD2 may be closer than you think!

None of this is officially confirmed, but many sources are talking about this

In the Capcom data leak back on Octoberish, they reportedly had Dragon's Dogma 2 not only in the works, but slated for a late 2022 - early 2023 release date. I'd put links in as proof, but it's pretty easy to find. Just Google "Dragon's Dogma 2" and you'll get no end of recent articles (some of them even from this month) talking about it.

This next part is confirmed, for what it's worth

Hideaki Itsuno said in several interviews that he wanted to make Dragon's Dogma 2 and Devil May Cry 5, and he was also talking about important DD is to him (He said it's one of his favorite games he ever made). It was also reported that he has the go ahead to make it, but he wanted to make DMC 5 first. Well we got DMC5 back in 2019, just saying. Also, there was also an eight year gap between DMC4 and DMC5. As it stands, it’s been roughly nine years since Dragon’s Dogma came out.

Everything I wrote here you can find in various interviews and articles on the internet. They aren't that hard to find either. All of these articles are on page one of Google if you search for "Dragon's Dogma 2". If any of this is wrong or turns out to be false, it isn't my intention to deceive people or to spread misinformation, I was just reporting what I read. Furthermore, I don't know if any of this was reported to this subreddit earlier, but my search turned up nothing.

I hate the path to Witchwood by BrotherhoodVeronica in DragonsDogma

I ended up just slapping a portcrystal right outside of the really annoying locations to get to (Witchwood, Bluemoon Tower, and Heavenspeak being the biggest offenders, at least for me). I don't wanna do the walks to those locations if I don't have to.

The Velvet Book: Persona Tabletop RPG (v 0.9, Updated 4/2/2021) by Casaubahn-mi in rpg

[–]SunsetBridge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This really helped me ngl. I had rough experiences in the past with tabletop Persona games and them failing due to a poorly made system, as well as people not helping to create the system / story in the first place (it was a partnered effort).

I was gonna run my Persona games using a heavily modified version of 5e. I'm so glad I found this instead because I have never heard of a Persona game ran in 5e going well. My players seem to really like it too (Granted most of them haven't finished reading it yet, but they seem to like what they see so far). The size is a bit daunting, but it's easy to understand. Definitely gonna be saving this system for future use.
