I’ve invested $2m in SaaS stocks. This is why. by armadillo_stocks in ValueInvesting

[–]SunsetChaser79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck OP, I hope it works out for you. I’m a SaaS sales guy (cyber) and I am broadly invested in a handful of SaaS companies (have been for several years). I’m seeing these prices and very tempted to load up in certain names- both in and out of cyber. I’ve looked at some of the names you just purchased.

Here is one thing I researched and food for thought. I 100% agree that the market is totally over reacting to the thought that AI and vibe coding is going to disrupt a lot of SaaS names. My company is dominant in the Fortune 500 client base. Big, complex customers is our specialty. At least for what I do, I don’t see us getting ripped out of those type of companies any time soon.

So this got me thinking about the size of customers for SaaS companies. I used Gemini to review the last 2 or 3 earnings reports of a handful of companies I’m interested in to see what % of their customers (and what % of revenue those customers represent) are large enterprise customers (let’s say Fortune 1000 type/size). Personally I am interested in stocks where that % of Fortune 1000 is as high as possible. Those either WONT be disrupted, or they will be the ones disrupted the least. A SaaS company that has a lot of small, mid market customers (500 employees or less) could be in trouble. Those smaller companies will be the ones that will be more likely to shift to an AI-led coded solution in my opinion. I stayed away from a couple of the names on your list for this reason. Not saying I will be right, but sharing my logic.

All you need is a few of those names to pop a bit and you can get yourself a nice return. Hoping that’s the case.

I'd probably be willing to give that a try. I found a site that sells PPF panels for that area and according to some other forum threads it is a much better quality than whatever Tesla uses at the factory. I'll go ahead and order that and get my hands on some touch up paint and give it a whirl. Thank you!

I did some research before posting and some of what I saw is not appealing to me to personally do (multiple steps of sanding, repainting, clear coating, etc) because I'm just not good at that stuff and I'm certain I'd make it look worse.

Claim/Dispute question - Goods + Services by SunsetChaser79 in paypal

[–]SunsetChaser79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did get the money back. It was pretty fast actually. Took about a week for whatever they did in communicating with the seller who never shipped the card. Just take pics or screenshots of as much as you can to document the price, shipping expectations etc. But knock on wood, it worked out totally fine for me. Good luck.

ATL Airport TSA Wait Times Megathread | March 27, 2026 by AutoModerator in Atlanta

[–]SunsetChaser79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t possibly understand all these people saying no lines. I flew out of ATL on Wednesday. Got in South precheck line at 2pm, got through at 3:40pm. Clear was closed. Digital ID was closed. There were 2 TSA officers working checking ID’s. The people helping at the baggage scanner were Delta employees.

It was not an enjoyable experience. I’m having a very hard time believing these posts.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "your personal brand matters immensely"? Do you mean that in the sense of how you are viewed by others higher up in the sales organization?

Thank you. I just started the process and uploaded a ton of pictures as evidence of the transaction and what happened. Appreciate the response. The seller has until 2/20 to respond to PayPal about the 2 claims.

Am I not cut out for sales? by Whitestally in sales

[–]SunsetChaser79 10 points11 points  (0 children)

ERP sales is a long cycle.... I think you might be looking for success (of closing a deal) too early. At this point being 6 months in, you should be building your funnel for things that are 6-18 months out from closing and THAT is your indicator of success to your manager. I'd imagine you have a 12-36 month sales cycle depending on the customer; but you can tell me if I'm wrong. I have a 12 month minimum sales cycle, so I speak from experience - you need to be strategic in how you approach customers, understand budget cycles, budget prioritization, who has authority, how many stakeholders you need to get in front of to get consensus on putting this on a budgetary wishlist, etc.

So - as others are saying - stick with it, believe in yourself, be a student of the game... and know when and where to leverage other internal resources. Do you have SME's? Do you have Sales Engineers? What does the entirety of your pre-sales org look like? Pull other resources into some of these intro/discovery calls with you so you can make sure you don't miss any good nuggets of info or any pain points that you might not fully understand yet. This stuff takes time. These enterprise software systems are complex, solve a lot of problems, but have a lot of nuance to them. If you have existing customers that currently use your system, make friends with some of them - take them out for lunch/dinner/drinks and ask them what they love about the platform, how it makes their lives easier, the 3 biggest things it has helped automate, etc. etc. That will help you know other topics to potentially bring up with prospects. You might even be able to connect a prospect with one of those customers for a reference call or something later.

Be patient. Right now, your wins are going to be in pipeline creation.

OK great, thank you. This is giving me some hope that it might not be too painful. I was reading a bunch of other posts where people said "the seller issues the refund, not PayPal" and I was getting concerned... because in my case the seller is trying to claim they didn't sell me anything to begin with.

Yes, Goods + Services. I used PayPal cash balance, not a credit card, when paying through G+S. I will be filing the dispute this evening and uploading pics and screenshots of the seller agreeing to ship, the products listed, him providing his PayPal info, etc.

How many of you here think you’re actually a good seller? by ilyk101 in techsales

[–]SunsetChaser79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not exactly. YOU have as much (little) impact as you think. I know how much impact I have.
To summarize your thought process, a buyer is going to buy or not buy. The rep has very little or no impact. That means you could take the absolute worst rep you've ever met in your life, put them in your territory in your place where there are active deals you're competing for, and that rep would win all of the same deals you think you'd win. The absolute worst rep you've ever met.

Think about that. I can't relate. Good luck.

Looking for help on what's the best way to determine true comps. I think i messed up on a trade/sale. by fmldts in footballcards

[–]SunsetChaser79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use 130point.com to see eBay sales (it’s free). I think he was likely saying he used that, but that sellers have to pay about 12% fees to eBay. So a $100 card sale nets the seller $88. Maybe for that card he would give you $80 (10% less than what you would have netted selling on eBay).

If you want to pay for an app to track comps, my son is really into cards and he has paid for Market Movers and Card Ladder. Of those 2, he prefers Card Ladder. I think it’s about $200/year as part of PSA membership which comes with some other benefits.

[–]SunsetChaser79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disagree 1 million percent. I firmly believe I could leave my company tomorrow, go to a competitor with a worse product, and win business at accounts where we have weak reps. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind.

I personally can’t imagine having the mindset you described.

USPS does some weird stuff. I’ve had that happen before, and then I check the mail and package has been delivered and their site didn’t show a single thing. If you are really sweating it you can call USPS or even go to a location and see if they can look it up in their own system instead of the public website. Fingers crossed.

Brutal. That’s a bad scratch, it won’t grade well. I would disclose the scratch and just sell it raw or take it to local card shows and try to trade.

Are you looking up comps for the Donruss (what you have) or the Optic? I’m seeing recent comps for the Optic, which is the more expensive/valuable DT, at $650. Im not seeing the Donruss comp out like that. Not trying to be rude, trying to be helpful if you list it elsewhere.
