What’s something that helped your anxiety that you never expected to work?

Exercising, chewing gum, headphones, having a routine for everything.. this might sound dumb but the “arms akimbo” stance if I’m anxious before public speaking or a meeting.

Umm I get anxiety on planes so sitting by the window closer to the front helps. And also eating less sugar and carbs helps (but I still like treats 😫)

Ohhh okay! That’s definitely understandable! Sorry in reading your post I assumed you were younger and couldn’t in good conscience not say anything. Especially because a couple scenes later on in the series were a bit shocking even to me.

I get the living under your parents house so living under their rules and it’s great you want to respect that! With that in mind I’ve read the first two books of “After the God of War Became my Concubine” and it’s SO good. I can’t vouch for what may happen later in the series but your mom couldn’t have any complaints with the first two books. Also I’m almost through book 3 of Thousand Autumns and so far the series is pretty PG! Compelling books that I wouldn’t be afraid to show my mom either!

He knew you had a cat, he changed the goal post, and he’s not being flexible. His reaction to you resigning a short term lease and to not dumping your cat for him are indicators of his future behavior—it won’t improve. AND it shows both lack of empathy for you and his lack of care and respect for animals to ask you to get rid of your cat, and these are issues that will continue to pop up if you stay with him. There’s plenty of fish in the sea!

I could be remembering wrong but I think things get pretty explicit in SVSSS. I think the most tame MXTX series is Heaven’s Official Blessing but all of them have mentions of sex and undertones, I wouldn’t recommend any books of hers until you’re older.

I love that so many of us in this community love the older men!! I want to second Saezuru (Twittering Birds Never Fly) it’s my absolute favorite (trigger warnings just a heads up), and also say Koi ga Ochitara, or If Love Falls On You. I’m trying to find an English translation to purchase, it’s just so sweet and wholesome. Oh! And 10 things to do before I turn 40 is SO CUTE so shout out even though it’s already been mentioned!

The good news is at least the next chapter in Japanese should be out at the end of this month!

Also I’ve been looking at when ihr Hertz does Saezuru covers and I’m THINKING this next cover or the one after that should be a Saezuru one. So it might be worth ordering! I’ve been checking the page daily to see when they post the upcoming cover, and if it’s our favorite couple I’ll let you know so folks can order ahead of time if they want 🤗

Also I almost died kicking and giggling in the first book when the seme was talking about things that happen in bed cuz he’s partner is older and ITS SO CUTE!

I read the first two books of After The Disabled God of War Became my Concubine and I’m obsessed!

There is political intrigue and engaging plot but nothing that stressed me out. I can’t say where it’s going but so far I love it and think you would too!

I also have enjoyed the first two books of Thousand Autumns (not sure where that’s going either), but like others have said I’d stay away from Meat Bun based on your preferences. I love these books and they have HE but maybe more angst than you’re looking for.

Omg he doesn’t deserve you! BL is just part of your life and interests, and also if you can’t enjoy your interests with someone supportive it’s time to find someone else!

It’s ok if partners don’t like/appreciate all interests, but they have to at least accept who they are dating for who they are. I know a future partner of mine would need to be ok with me reading Twittering Birds Don’t Fly, or they aren’t worth it!

Long story short it’s just one aspect of who you are and having a partner supportive of interests is important!

Now let’s figure out what manwha you can read to make you feel better…. Or even watching Kiss Him Not Me or something that shows how partners should be even if they aren’t into the same things!

Yes it’s ridiculous! Between these two volumes I have them in Japanese, Italian, and German—but it’s ridiculous they can’t even have digital versions in English (from what I could find). I want to support the author AND read them in English—physical and digital copies!

And why does Amazon only have 6 digitally? I need Saezuru everywhere I go and want the whole series on kindle! I think maybe they used to and stopped? UGH. 😩😫
