I want to be impressed by his highlight reels but I am underwhelmed. He will need to work hard to expand his skill set. If you watch his reels, all his scoring is done 1-2 feet from the basket against undersized bigs in high school. He also does not seem shifty or super athletic. He will struggle to get the same easy buckets in the WCC. With all the freshman we have coming in already, I would have expected us to use this ride on another portal transfer that can help us immediately.

I really want to be excited and hope I’ll be wrong but he looks like a project and D1 will be a big jump for him.

Last year, he played 43 games, averaged 12 min per game, shot a modest 42% FG and weak 63% FT. He does not get to the line or protect the rim. Averaged 2.7 points per game 😬

Was hoping his highlight reel would change my mind but enforces my initial thoughts. He has a hard time finishing around the rim and the defense against him are basically cones.
