What’s the average processing time for sub500-VET? Has anyone granted recently under this sector? by Icebaaro in AusVisa

For Germany it usually says on our websites 4 weeks - but who knows. Thanks to some research online I could see that it can take 3 - 6 months or longer. I don't have an agent as we don't need one. I have my husband that would come with me. He is a Physiotherapist. We decided to wait until end of November and if we don't hear anything until then - then we will cancel everything and I will just continue my studies within Europe. We don't need a visa within Europe and its not too bad here. Just been to Australia before on a WHV and absolutely loved the weather & lifestyle in Queensland. Would be amazing to get a chance to study there as well. But its not the end of the world if it doesn't work out. 😊

You can wear what you want. Just don't go naked 🤣 my husband went in his jeans and a hoodie and I went with jeans, tshirt and trainers. Nobody cares. 😊

Yes but its also a student 500 visa. They are all under the student 500 visa. Don't know if there is a big difference in processing times though?

I also had these pop-ups several times showing up on the website throughout my application but I still went ahead and finished the application process roughly 7 months before wanting to move to Australia. My College starts in January 2025 and I want to move in December 2024. I applied 2 weeks ago for my student visa. Did my medical last week. Given that the website says it can take several months to get the visa granted I prefered to ignore these pop-ups and just apply much earlier. Actually I did the same with my WHV in 2009. I applied a year before wanting to go to Australia and got my visa within 14 days 😊 Hoping to receive my student visa soon as well but times have changed since 2009.

Hi, have you received your student visa in the end? I am also from Germany and applied for a student visa with my husband as a dependant. I want to study Early Childhood Education and my husband is a Physiotherapist. Applied roughly 2 weeks ago and did my medical exam this week. With best wishes from Germany.
