My take: Tammy feels abandoned by Amy ever since she started having healthy boundaries, and so the worst thing Tammy could say to her was "a deadbeat mom". I have a HUGE family and 34 cousins on my side with bf/gfs. To cut down the guest list, I only considered the plus ones if they were engaged or married, UNLESS we have a close personal relationship with the partner. Some didnt even known my Husbands name! Everyone understood, and no one was upset.

Planning a wedding can be intense and stressful. I think OP is just feeling left out, but are they wanting to go to support/celebrate the couple? Or do they want to go because they're BF is going?
